Moreover Salre price depend upon location & bike quality too.. as u mentioned that u are waiting for completion of all free services.. but if u have really thought to upgrade to P220 then dont let all free services consumed (before selling it).. as it may add some more bucks to the price u desired.. i cant advise the price as of now but would advise if you can seek any exchange offer or ask the dealer from where u purchased this bike & tell him ur intention of upgrading.. he might help u in getting better deals and u may get hands on new P220 (who knows)

cheaper alternatives are gladly welcome.. offlate due to the heat and dryness the chain has started getting filthy pretty soon and that impacts the acceleration substantially i feel.. atleast the smoothness is definitely impacted.
        peace.
A much cheaper alternative which i regularly use in my apache for chain lubrication is a el cheapo lubricant called CL-140(it has a picture of an auto on its packet) it comes in a pouch and costs 15 bucks and is available in most automotive shops . ask for CL and they will understand. It myt not be as good as other lubricants and myt not even last longer, but does the job for me, i get the chain lubed once in 7-10 days.CL is in green color. i clean the bike's chain with my bike's petrol. kerosene is also a good option. try it once and let us know how u feel about it

          Hi Gotlo.

IMHO, you should not much worry of your chain lubrication, as if m not mistaken you too have P180UG4 and chainset in these bikes are "O" -ring type thus need to worry much.. they are already robust in nature.. in any way.. you may do following:-
          1) Wash the chain properly .. if giving wash to service centre ask SCguy to wash the chain properly.. through jetted watter at chain all impurities will vanish away
          2) If washing at home, before washing at use tooth brush or any brush to clean the chain cells impurities .. "Kripya Ragad ke saaf karen" but dont push hard after washing. dry the chain with neat clothes like pampering the baby's bum and let it dry completely. & here u go..

Since lubrication is must (should not run the bike with dry chain) get any lubrication oil/ grease or any other material.. as u asked for Cheap arrangement.. then go with my trait "Sasta Sundar Tikao" jugad by asking service centre guy (at the time of bike service) while changing the engine oil, drain your bikes engine oil in your provided bottle, then apply that used engine oil for further lubrication thats the most cheapest way to keep lubricated your bike, another what i do is every 15-20 day i get my bike washed in Castrol Bike Zone they wash the bike , polish it & on my special request lubricate the chain as well all together in just 50 bucks.

also I'm not happy with front headlight...High beam is useless, it always goes parallel to road...I even unscrewed that beam adjustment screw but no success...what are other options ?
Can I put 55w or bigger bulb in? how much it will cost ?
            Try what Himanshumm has said.
BTW, you can put 55W bulb; I will soon be going to opt for Philips Extreme Power bulb, if i manage to adjust the headlights.

saw someone talking about delhi traffic glad tht you appreciate our daily endeavour of cutting through it.
personally, i drive 27X2=54 kms to and fro office evryday(delhi to gurgaon) . the rage and the frustration due to the traffic does give rise to sessions of "free-biking" (remeber p200 ka first ad) sometimes, and its fun

May be you should try some 'Motocross riding' I use W90 gear oil for lubing and kerosene for cleaning the chain.

are u sure if its ok to be used for o-ring chains? coz corrosive fluids effect the o-ring chains unlike the standard chain sprockets.. thx nway for the reply

First tell me Have you completed your 2nd service or not?? or waiting for me to come to Noida and take your bike for servicing. If the later is What!! your are thinking then, No problems as i am free these days upto next year and can again visit your place.
And then, The used engine oil looses its most lubricating properties already, and at higher speeds it will not stick to chain. So, using it is not the best idea.

I dont know whether my RTR has O-ring chain or not(i guess it does have o-ring chain, pardon me for my poor knowledge) I have been using the same method i told u about for nearly 7k kms now and the chain and sprocket are doing fine. try it on ur bike once

Bro wht to say.. Ok i will put this in short..

                    1) I am doing a lot of night riding ... And P180 35w headlight doesn't help much.. I know i can change to a better bulb may be night breaker or Philips..
But P220's projector is wht i want basically..

                    2) Choosing P220 for its power n torQ.. Basically truely speaking i liked the torQ in Old Classic 180..

I am seriously disappointed with UG4's TorQ..

That is my major concern as Me and my Gf we both are from "Khaate peete ghar ke".. I mean lil on heavier side.. and sometimes the bike feels out of breath... damn... lack of power...

I recently rode my frnds P220 and fell in love with the heavenly raw power n torQ this machines provides...

Now Is it a sensible thing to do...??? M i doing the right thing... Coz that mean 18-20 k extra on pocket.. as far as i can fig out...

                    replies..???

So, the main requirement is Power, and you are so true about the Torque. My Classic 150 gives me a Better feel of torque and power than 180 UG4. I seriously regret for Bajaj for going down on Torque.

It will not be a sensible decision to go for a 220 now, Becuz :
                      1) Your bike is just 3-4 months old and selling it now will not make a huge price difference than selling it some months later.

                      2) Some bike companies like TVS, HH, Yamaha, Honda are in the process of launching SHEAR POWER bikes. May be we might see most of them this Diwali,, Thus, wait till Diwali. If No launches then too you will definetly get some confirmed news till then about forthcoming bikes.

Till then, If you want shear power then Rip the bike and If the ripping is done with correct gear changes then you will extract some heavy power from this 180cc machine, For sure.

                        1) Osram (night braker)
                        2) Philips
                        3) or Chinese (least concern but may think in case budget gets out of control )

In case u get it first do post your experience with it
There's one more thing the beam is kinda focused to left a little meaning its not straight...SC guys told that the whole assemble had to be replaced and after my small accident bike has got little bruising on headlight so they say it can't be changed under warranty.
can changing to 55W get clear vision on highways?
                        what are the other options?
