  • That's Great abhi, so whats was the bike behaviour while cornering.. i mean any trumble, or any wheel boggling. or was it easy to lean the bike till it touches your leg guard.... i m asking such things because, I always do cornering & leaning my bike as much as possible, as there's a curve in my office for parking similar to a race track, having a single curve road & one sided (being very safe) but somehow i dont get the confidence , i tried to figure it out but still need some lights on it:-
    1) May be riding posture was wrong
    2) Grainy roads which trumble the tyres as likely to skid
    3) May be rear wheel bogling
Or may be i need more practice over cornering & leaning so as to gain more confidence, but matter of fact is when this bike was new, it was getting leaned very easily & have much confidence at that time, but after first service i m loosing confidence .. may be i get the bike in right shape in my second service...

    Any positive suggestions guy!!!

Actually cornering needs alot of practice. I am too learning it, and Am very new to Cornering, Newer than most of you guys. But, one needs to practice the Perfect technique of cornering, to which i am still trying to learn.

      • The true top speed of p180 UG4 is somewhere near to 138 -141
        conditions:
Bike should be properly maintained, not necessary with premium petrol, but periodic replacement of oil,
        proper chain lubrication,
        inflation of tyres,
and most importantly, the weight of the biker,(ideal between 60 -65).

Me being a 60 KG person can easily go upto 120 on my UG4 P180 with enuf power left in my bike to rip is past 130.
But if u are good in timing the gearshifts, then u can definitely reach that 138 mark.

I have seen my freind doing 122+ on his P150 with me being a pillion, his weight is 65.

Well!! maybe, I did'nt know. It's a debatable topic that WHAT Speedo Indicates is actually true speed or there is a huge error following it at higher speeds.

138- 141 if i say AVG 140 kmph.. I dnt think Bajaj Pulsar 180 UG4 Mill can do that.. Of course my personal experience and opinion tht is...

I have done 121 kmph on my UG4.. and tht was last i cud manage...

The 178cc motor has been tuned further from the classic ver and it now makes 17.02PS of power at 8,500rpm..

But reaching 140 kmph is still ................... cant say..

              • Hey guys, So does anyone know the cost of the UG3 leg guard. Any UG3 owners here? Unfortunately its a single piece, like the letter 'C' with its mouth towards the ground. Its bolted to the frame at the ends of the 'C' and also at the top-middle of the apex. I'll put up a picture.

Another thing, my left step holder (silver triangular part on which pillion foot pegs are fitted) is damaged due to battery acid leaks so im getting it repainted. I want to paint both step holders glossy black. Also, i want to paint the front forks. Im thinking of matte back on the outer fork tube. Will this look good (?) as the UG3 comes with a dust cover over the steel finish inner fork tube. You can see that on the top-right corner of the picture. All suggestions and recomendations please. Even colour suggestions are welcome.

I would also be thankfull if someone can give me the prices of the following: Clutch cover gasket, Fork oil (Valvoline/Servo etc... 350ml), PCV breather tube.

Most of us donot own UG3 versions except some fellow members. So, answering a query just for the sake of answering will be of no use for members. That's the reason that without knowing the prices ow?? can one post them.
I would suggest to stick with current colour profile, It look more than S**Y.

                      • whoever claims to be hitting 130 and above and has not done any mods(sprocket change) etc is either talking BS or has some serious speedo error.

They tell What?? the speedo indicates, so, as long as the speedo is accurate (Which is not the case with atleast P180) the speed is correct.(But i donot believe that P180 actual top speed is more than115-120kmph) No matter what?? the speedo indicates.

                          • i have touched 122 on my 2month old p180.. if thr was any speedo error then also it would be around 116-120.. and i think thats fast.. ( tested the top speed on a closed road never try to ride ur bike fast on public roads coz at this speed a little error can be fatal for you and people surrounding you)
Look out at the darkness, and you will see
Just call my name and I'll be there
You cannot touch me, you would not dare

May I know the reason for u concluding that P180 cannot go above 120 ?
and if at all it goes , then its a speedo error !!!!!hmm hmm

I mean why wd a properly maintained bike suddenly start givng a speedo error at high speeds.

Marginal precision error is always present in any instrument buddy. But, never will a instrument magnify that error to have such big difference in the readings.

                              • + 180 to indrajit..

Many of us has heard of speedo error in Bajaj / Yamaha / HH etc.. but mind it these speedo are QC tested meters.. at some sample basis. these may be 100% correct but can not 0% trust worthy.. as if there could be any error it would be a marginal error in meter say by 5-6 kmph.. so actual top speed accrued should consider -4 or -5 to it so as to get approximate Top speed
