newer technology always find its opposition here in India...It's always has been controversial...first it was with disk brakes and now it is with electric starter...

People also conveniently forget that the Yamaha FZ-16/FZ-S & Fazer, Yamaha R15 and the Hero Honda ZMR also come with Self Start ONLY.

Maybe because only Bajaj tends to introduce these newer and revolutionary (for india) technologies in the market.

No revolutionary!!, It's Yammies have already got that feature amd it's only that the people thinks that this 'feature' in yammies is a 'problem' in when introduced by Bajji's. Unfortunate.

        Very TRUE!

It was the P200 the first bike in India to be Self Start only, followed by the P220 DTS-Fi

                  • Got my bike serviced, Today. This was 2rd paid and 6th (overall) service. It reads now 8010kms on ODO.

Problems Noticed to them be me:
                    1) Both the brakes were producing a squeaking noise while braking.
                    2) Lubrication of clutch cable, accelerator cable.
                    3) General Servicing.
                    4) Donot change oil

I told them not to change oil as the current one has only done some 600kms(only).

                    Post Service:

Great!! servicing done. Everything is fixed and gears, engine every bit of the bike is running as it should be. I am enjoying it!

                              • Changing a semi synth oil at every 1000kms is sheer wastage of it.
even a mineral oil has a 1500-2000KMS of life.
