  • @amirt: For the mods you have mentioned are easily found in P150 + it has 'cheap' clip-on's too. Go for 150 rather than modding a 180. It will ruin the looks + compatibility by a little.

@Bornfree: I am experiencing a rattling noise from handle, it's like chunnnnnnn.. above 4K. And SC is not able to recognize it. My exams are going on till 20th of this month, i will be able to get the noise sorted out only after that.

You should get it done from any authorized bajaj service center... If anybody is refusing then try to contact on toll free number or send an email.

@abhi : just try to rotate clip-ons once and see if that works...just make sure that you rotate them in same amount of rotation

          • Guys, I made a 'Desi replacement' for cruise control(Yeppy!); Actually I've to travel for 200-300kms sometimes frequently, and holding the throttle for a long time on highways hurts our palm. I searched on net about the DIYs but was unable to find one. So, just sat-up beside the bike and tried out several things to make the throttle lock at a particular RPM, though the engine was off. Finally, a 1 Rs rubber-band did the job for me. I could'nt explain How I did it?, In words. So, probably will post the pictures. I still have to test it on real conditions till then, hold-on.

@akshit: Best Wishes! For your breath-taking ride. Do post a travelogue after coming back. Ride sane & safely.

              • @akshit:
Obviously, anytime Cramp-buster is a better choice than any 'Desi DIY'. No major work done. I rode the bike after fixing that DIY, it is working OK! But definitely not commendable job. It is effective only after 3K RPM & I usually in city ride at 2-2.1K only. Below 3K RPM the accelerator spring is powerful enough to depress the throttle to '0'. It needs some improvement.

Aur tu jaisa soch raha hai vaisa nahi hai.

Akshit, could you please, buy a crampbuster for me too and ship that to my place. I will deposit money in your account before you purchase the cramp-buster. Please yaar!

Also do post a review on how good is the cramp-buster you purchased.

                    Hey,
Nice to know about your tour. Have a great time at Manali, these are gold times that we are going through, after your engg. you will be too busy to do this all. Enjoy every moment and Travellogue + pictures are the things I am waiting from your side.
Thanks a many to you. Next week when you come online we'll talk and settle for shipping and charges involved. Enjoy your ride.
A few tips from my side are:
                    1) No matter how good are you at riding, Highway riding is a different thing. It is best to cruise(maintain a particular speed band) like for me it is 70-90kmph on highway and donot try excessive acceleration or deacceleration.
                    2) Be gentle on throttle, raise speed slowly and deaccelerate slowly. This will increase mileage.
                    3) Donot become one from the crowd by trying to achieve top-speed of your bike. Instead, be different and maintain a constant speed that should be decided depending on the road condition. For me Hilly area = 70kmph(or less).
                    4) Enjoy the ride to its maximum.
