Hi guyz ! Sorry for interrupting your discussion ! I am karthik from chennai. I just bought Pulsar 180 two days before ! Here s my problem. Sorry if i am too Kiddish

Before buying a bike i have narrowed down on three bikes first !

1. Honda Unicorn
2. Dazzler
3. CBZ Xtreme

Never in the world i thought of pulsar ! I went ahead and booked Unicorn and later learned that i would not get my bike for at least 4 Months ! I was ready to wait for Unicorn.. But in that time i met my cousin who owned a Pulsar 180 for 4 years. He seriously suggested me to go for pulsar 180 UG 4. I took a test drive in his bike and loved it ! Canceled Unicorn and booked pulsar ! Got my Blue Pulsar UG 4 bike. But i am experiencing heavy sound in my bike. Not the grunt engine sound. But zwing....zwing sound. But that sound is not in my cousin's bike ! So instead of enjoying my new bike i started thinking .. Should i have gone ahead with my unicorn ! I was riding passion for the past 4 years !

So sorry for my long story ! But friends please help me to clear my thoughts ! My cousin told me that since i am only 23 years old, 5"9 and 85 kgs, pulsar is the only bike which will suit me ! And He also promised that considering my driving style i would definitely get a mileage of 45-48.

So here are my questions !

1. Have i made the right choice >?
2. Will the sound of the bike get settled(Say after 1000 Kms)
3. Will i get the comfort in the bike as of unicorn !(coz i should not feel bad about my choice)
4. Will i get the desired mileage if i ride my bike @ 4-5k RPM speed-50-70?

But one thing i like to tell about the bike it looks awesum ! So experienced guyz ! Any suggestions >??

If you are in hurry then purchase it now! The new Pulsars are likely tobe arrived after Diwali, but Bajaj has not yet spoken about their dates. So, go ahead and buy the bike. I can understand your excitement, me too was in same massacare.

Congratulation for the bike. Enjoy it!

1) No bike is bad if you like it.
2) Yes, the sound will be settled, but donot expect a Unicorn's super-silent engine, the whing.. whing.. sound will be there as it's a nature of Pulsar. The cousin bike you have rode should be old and every old bike has its own pro's\con's like a new bike.
3) Which comfort??
4) I am getting 50-52kmpl from the day I bought her.

Thanks
- Abhi

I think they are pushing deadlines to next year...but we can assume that new 180s would come with 4 valve engines

1. abhi is correct...every bike is correct in today's market...wrong bikes like LML etc,. are extinct now.
2. visit SC for any any any doubt/problem...most of thing in this bike are customizable
3. I don't know about you but I never felt unicorn comfy...I don't know what so great with monoshocks I always felt it very stiff (so do many others)...unicorn gave me backpain on very first just 1KM ride.
4. when it comes to millage pulsar has no match...

@abhi : I think there's something abnormal with my bike...I don't drive as sanely as you(maybe?)...Every signal is a drag race for me and I feel stretch as motoGP tracks but still bike is returning millage of 49...how's that?

(Lolzzzz.) That's the best you are extracting, cannot imagine what will be the figures if you ride sanely. Maybe, your AFR is set too lean, that might also be one of the reasons.

My bike is up for a service, will do that in coming days, any suggestions. It has clocked 10,500kms.
