There is a magnetic switch on carb called reed switch. Does any one know it's purpose?

If performance and avg have lowered then yes it might be time to change clutch plates.

The reed switch is used for changing the ignition timing with respect to the throttle position. The feedback is sent to the CDI, I suppose.

changed my head light to 60w55.awesome light throw must say...got it just for 85 rs...when, i started searching for philips premium, here in my city philips crystal vision was available shop keeper asked 450 rs for it..
then, searched several shops, but, 60w55 was not available. then, after some search, got philips premium for just 85 rs...became very happy....then, continued my search for smd led.here only 9 in one and 5 in one led was only available. quoted 110 rs.. per piece, which is in some higher side.anyway bought twins for 200 rs..as i was eagerly waiting for this mod..
then, reached home as soon as possible.then here starts my dismantling.it was very hard job must say...my brother helped me in doing this which was very big help in that situation.considerably it was very simple to replace that pilot lamps.refitting was the most pain to do. we were really struggled to place that fairing in place.but, after all that pain, the result was awesome..never thought this much increase in lighting..after adjusting beam adjusting screw, it increased even further..
now low light problem is no more in night riding. now i most like to ride in night. its a breeze.....my brother is also impressed by improved lighting..
that leds are also cool which gives blue eyed feel, light intensity is not that good though.(thats because of that 9smd led, will upgrade it soon.)anyway more light is there than yellowish pilots...

but, after installing, battery indicator started to blink when i cranked my bike and head light switched ON. BUT AFTER SOME TIME, IT DISAPPEARED, NEVER SEEN IT AGAIN. but i am little worried about that.any battery issues will happen by this mod?...
