Hey does any one have the R15 workshop manual... preferably a softcopy.....?

I ended up having a Engine Malfunction indication on the console but sadly the owners manual says nothing about it....

had to call up a friend from Yamaha @ 11 in night in middle of the NH!

We haven't got our hands on the Service manual yet. But we should get it soon.

i would suggest check your battery first . then see if there are any overheating signs .Remove and fix all the connectors .Could be caz of a loose contact.

Other than that you will need a FID to diagnose whats wrong . It will just take some 5min with an FID

Finished work on an R15, not mine but another one for my friend.
The engine wakes up harder from upwards of 5000rpm and clocks 5-8kmph more than a stock R15 on any patch of road.
It still runs on all the stock internals but ofcourse modified, but stock exhaust and everything else.

This week, I'll finish the work on my R15 and the results will be pretty exciting. I have a magazine shoot-out probably next week of my R15. The results will be verified on a V-Box.

This is great! Just some fiddling and a bump of 5-8. If modded properly then it might cross 155 on the speedo i believe. Waiting for the results. Goodluck!

Nope it wont, unless I gear it taller or up the rev limiter.
I said 5-8 more when ridden casually over a stock bike. It sure accelerates much faster and clocks 100kmph atleast around 2 secs quicker than stock.
The R15 will max hit 150kmph on the speedo with the rev limiter cutting off at 10k rpm.
BTW, the R15's actual rev limiter is 10k and not 10.5k. I got to check the revs with a digital tacho and figures out that the analogue dial showed an error of 500rpm at cut-off while the actual revs were 10002rpm.

Anyways, I'm just waiting for my full works on the R15 to be complete by this weekend. Will make my first fully tuned freeflow for the R15 and a few other radical works.

Also I don't know about this query being posted here but since you are talking about free flow exhausts I need to ask how good a krp exhaust make a diff. to R15

Nope, didnt do a speedtest on the other R15.
but, next week I'll test mine.

BTW, i just checked the prices for the exhausts. They are expensive and the exhaust dimensions are all wrong. Wonder who buys them, my sympathies to the owners.
And they claim to be dyno testing and doing R&D. FYI, there is no dyno in delhi or any part up north for testing and their R&D is by some daring death riders on the streets, I'm sure.

There are so many things that work around the bike. Everyone knows that the rev limiter is at 10.5. I guess that margin of error is everywhere we see with our eyes. Anyhow, how would you make your 'own' free flow exhaust ?

If crossing 150/155 is so much of a pain then how come the speculation arises that Yamaha mod kit will pump 20-22bhp. Which magazine is publishing your work ?

The rev limiter kicks in at exactly 10K RPM, I've tried it many times.
