Thread: Hero Moto Splendor/Joy/CD-Dawn/Passion

I have a splendor nxg. Was previously owned by my father. He gave it to me when i turned 18 (which was very recently. :-D) The 1st few days i was so excited. Rode around 200kms in 2 days. At that time it was a huge step up from riding my kinetic zing. Loved the power, just down shift, rev hard and overtake. After driving around in a 60cc scooter, my splendor felt like a very powerful bike. Even today i respect my bike a lot. I have driven my friend's apache rtr160 and loved the ridiculous power. But i wouldnt want to own one 'cuz i couldnt handle the vibrations after a while. The fz i've driven but just hate the exhaust note. It just feels too smooth. The apache and the fz feel like completely contrasting motorcycles. Anyway back to topic, i love my splendor more than both these bikes 'cuz even though it doesnt have the apache's power, i never get any sore wrists after a long ride, and even though it doesnt look even remotely as good as the fz, i love the exhaust note of my splendor better. And my bike trashes both the bikes when it comes to the mileage front. :-D
Btw how much mileage do you people get in your bike?
I get a max of 60kmpl.

A lean, Humble, Polite, Decent and Reliable average Indian showcasing a simple man is what reminds when ever I see a splendour. Adored, Respected, Greeted and tortured too.

One of the brilliant bike. Pulled wheelies, Ripped it to 100kmph on slopes... Still remains as humble as it is.

Fuel gauge stopped working since 11k kms. SVC guys aske me to change the entire assembly which costed me abt 1.5k rs in 2003. I did'nt have tht much money back then and after that i never bothered abt it

amongst d new babies of hh that r the super splendor,paasion pro n of cos the splendor+, which one delivers a better mileage?????????????
plannin to buy one of it in a few weeks....

I know i am gonna be hit hard for saying this ...This bike is a killer most road fatalities i saw near tambaram bypass(chennai) the dead people were mostly on a splendor,passion.Oh i had a splendor when i was 16 and i loved it.
