Default Accidents that you witnessed/experienced and what you learn from them?

Deadly Accident!!!

BY: Priyank
SOURCE: 220 COMMUNITY

This accident took place today morning when I was goin to college.. 2 boys (final year) of my college were heading towards college.. (My college is at raisen road NH12 so the roads are usually filled with big trucks and busses..) When the boys were abt to reach the campus a truck headed towards them in wrong side.. The bike (Pulsar 200) and the truck smashed and the boys were thrown out.. The truck ran away after hitting, ramming the P200... Bike's tank got blazed and the whole body of the bike got melted away.. See the pics..
One of the boy got unconscious at that instant and the other one was crying in pain, his whole leg was bleeding and the bone was clearly visible!! The OSD of the college took the boys to the nearby hospital and the police caught the truck driver later in the day..

bloody truck drivers

Thats ghastly, I guess the only thing that you can learn from this is - always expect trucks and vehicles from the wrong side in India.

Default Eye-witness..................

This incident happened when 10 of us were rolling on Bangalore - Mysore highway enroute Maddur three weeks ago.
The lead rider was fed up with the traffic situation and started weaving lanes to cut traffic - wrong move. I was second to lead but I overtook with precaution. After successfully cutting a couple of cars came the trucks.
There were two trucks occupying both lanes of the highway, my friend as usual took the faster lane(right lane), the truck on the right lane came to an abrupt halt with no visual or electrical indicatons whatsoever. Having no space to overtake between the two trucks and also hardly 10 metres to come to a halt from 80, the biker went into the truck sending the pillion flying. The pilllion and the rider were run over the head by the slower lane truck . The rider's face was intact because he wore a helmet. The pillion rider's parents did not want to look at his face because it was so disfigured and all internals were dangling.

Unfortunately, both did not live to tell the tale.
All this happened in a matter of seconds, I was just behind them and saw the whole thing happen. Could'nt sleep for nights together, sometimes still get nightmares of the accident. From then on I'm promoting safe-biking amongst friends and relatives.

i think fuel leaked from the fuel tank and caught fire due to engine heat or something like that

@haxor &dj_666 those are really bad accidents.

I myself am not a very experienced rider. I have seen where some people just had accidents a few minutes back but dont know how it happened.

I have met with only one very minor till no accident and that too because of my foolishness. I had pushed the front brakes completely because the car in front of me stopped suddenly on the innermost fast lane(I think the car stopped because the vehicle in front of it had to take a U-turn. The Brake lights on the car were not working and there was some sand on the road. I had only got some bruises on both my palms and bikes fairing had some small scratches.

thats why when my friends ask me that ''you ride so fast and swift ..why do you wear all the gears ''' and i tell them such stories ..

very unfortunate .. wether its 100M or 100000KM .. lets take a pledge of wearing safety gears and ride sensebly ..

friend both the topics have their own meaning.....

in this thread we get to know from others mistakes which taught us a valuable lesson(s) about ours and others safety and how one can loose their life in such accidents in which they are not solely responsible....

in that topic we discuss about the mistakes which we've/others have done
that topic is kinda funny...
but this topic is something different ..its serious...seriousness about our life ...about others life.

hope i made you understand what i meant to say
