    +1...

the words in bold from sunnys post, that's the reason I was involved in an accident.I was on my way to college in the wee hours of the morning. The road was not at all narrow but I only remember the bus coming in the wrong way and hitting me...amnesiatic stuff.A broken a bone with the rod still inside my leg blah blah blah...
Btw,what I learnt?...always wear safety gear.My lid probably saved me on that day for sure.I made a blunder by not putting the gloves on...ever since that accident happened,I've invested more on safety gear.

The biggest thing I've learnt is that expect the unexpected...
It all begins with a thumb-start -- Oh, wait, I forgot the kill-switch

Guys I had my first accident on my zma on 20th aug. Freak one at that.
Was driving in the service lane to parking lot near my office that morning, when one guy who's walking on the footpath decided to suddenly jump right infront of me as if to end his life (and mine) without looking across the road.
I panic-braked, skidded the bike which bottomed out to the left, & i was painting the tarmac crimson with my blood.

Both palms, rt arm, rt elbow, rt knee, hip/waist rt side heavily bruised.
Fking Braindead Pedestrian! A week of tetanus shot, betadine gauges, neosporin and white bandages with bed rest and holiday from busy but important week at work.

And though elbow, arm and knee wounds were the deepest and bloodiest, it is the one on the palms and fingers that pained the most, & the longest. WEAR GOOD GLOVES always.

I'm investing in a nice pair of gloves, a riding jacket and knee pads immediately. Tell me I can get all three in 7-8K???

Another thing, my bike was damaged. Frt Brake lever and Rear Brake pedal got bent totally. Rt fairing got a nice crack and scratch near indicator lamp. Heat shield on silencer also roughed out. My handle (clutch lever) now touches the visor when turned extreme right.

I learnt to ALWAYS EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED. PEDESTRIAN WILL CROSS WITHOUT LOOKING, PARKED CARS WILL SUDDENLY OPEN DOORS AS U PASS, CARS WILL TURN OPPOSITE TO INDICATORS THAT THEY FLASHED, BUSES WILL BRAKE HARD RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD FOR NO APPARENT REASON.

Expect all of the above and more, and be prepared. That's the only way to live on 2 wheels.

ive had couple of serious Accidents in my life.
one was back in Riyadh,Saudi Arabia.
              around 10yrs back
3 families had gone to another state(350kms away) for a badminton tournament,we went in 2 cars,my dads FORD Taurus broke down so he left it in the work shop and all the 3 families got into the other car.a FORD Crown Victoria we covered around 345 km and had just entered the City at 4am,every one was asleep, the next thing i remember is im safe in the front seat and that Air Bag has exploded,i freaked out and got out of the car...and oh boy the cars was in such a bad shape...the cars went through those HUGE blocks used as dividers but thank god we ALL were safe!
no one knows what happened...my Uncle who was driving said a Toyota Cresdia just cut him through and he lost balance,i think he had slept off too and freaked out when the cars cut him through guess .

another one was in Bombay, around 7 years back...we were coming back from Lonawala..through that awesome highway..it had just opened recently, the driver was doing around 120Kmh and the rear tire exploded, the SUMO over turned,i was in the front.i was thrown out,my head hit the windshield, the windshield broke and i was lying in the middle of the highway...thank god no cars were coming, nice ppl from the petrol pimp rushed and got us,my head was bleeding bad..i started crying form my parents...my sis was safe with a minor injury, dad and mom were safe too, driver had chest pains..the worst was my uncle who was siting next to me...he had 5 fractures in his left hand..he hasn't still recovered 100% now
              Smoke rubber,not tobacco.

It was previous Sunday, I went to a trip to Hokeinaggal with my friends, there was 7 bikes altogether, out of that 2 P150, 1 P180, 1 Freedom, 1 Splendor and 2 Stunner. There was two person in each bike at any time.

While coming back, some 10 kms away from Electronic city, in Hosur road I met with a accident. While i drove all the way while going at night, while coming back i drove and gave my friend to drive the last 60~70 kms of the trip. Incidentally my original pillion went to ride the P180 and this guy came with me, later I came to know he dont even have a DL.

I was a bit sleepy, i told him about it and he was okay with it, i got up when i heard some ganesh procession was going on, and i saw him to be in the wrong side of the road, with a bike with three persons onboard coming towards us, he wobbled a bit but anything unfortunate was avoided, we hit hosur road after that and within five minutes. he was driving through the rightmost lane of the road. A maruti 800 was there ahead of us and there was a truck in the next to left lane of the maruti 800.

He was driving at 70+, suddenly he increased speed , i am not sure about it but it was surely close to 90, when he was just about to enter parallel to the backwheel of the truck in line with mar 800, he realised the truck and mar are going at far less speeds to do a cut manuevere. He mercillessly pulled the disc's in panic at its full. Rest is history.

The bike hit the mar 800, which inturn hit a discover. He fell in the right side of the road, and i left, i lift my face up to see the same truck that was left to maruti 800 in the middle lane a feet away beside me, i rolled righter within no time and heard the back wheels of the truck wheels went passed by.

I was absolutely shocked, i was wearing a heavy jacket which protected me, my left hand got full muscle sprain from wrist and right hand got a few cuts, my cramster leg guard saved my legs, my jeans was torn. Went to a local nursing home immediately, to get a x-ray done and took a anti-tetanus shot. Bottomline, did not got hurt much but the state of shock was there, and i was cursing him like nothing for driving the bike like that.

Had to pay 4.5k to the maruti on spot, who had a broken headlight, to scrached side doors and dented back guard, it was a nicely custom modded mar 800. The guys came up heavy on us and we two were helpless as support arrived 10-15 mins later, thanks to our great group riding skills (sarcasm).

My other friend drove the bike home, and it had no rear brakes as well front disc was not working. There was many lessons learned from this.

                  1. Never give bike to someone if you dont know how he rides.
                  2. Riding gear saves life! Go get one now for those who haven't, from now on I will buy the costliest riding gear that I can afford.
                  3. While in highway group riding is very important, and none was following that in spite of my repeated exercise to tell them how important it is, thus never go with peoples who shows they knows more than you do just because of the fact they have been riding bikes for more years than you do.

Thanks to god, that I'm alright!

This happened to me some 4years ago..
I was 15 at that time riding the beauty Dio on some 10kmph in the busy streets of cloth market..
It was night time around 8pm.
The streets were busy with 2 wheelers and an uncleji was riding his PALENDOUR ( actually i dont remember whether it was passion or splendour ) before me!
All my attention was on road and traffic when suddenly a very cute, fair, sexy, long, hot girl in white shirt and black jeans with marvelous figure and long hairs appeared before a shop in my far right..
Man at that time I never knew I had Chamaleon eyes..one eye or road and one stuck on girl!
Suddenly Palendour in front of me braked hard..and I simply rushed in to his rear without applying any brakes!
Result: nothing serious!! Uncleji's Palendour taillight and read mudguard broke!

What went wrong : Palendour braked hard on 10!!
My young age and that cute girl.
That day I found out that Human Being dont own a chamaleon eye..
Mine both eyes were glued on girl.

Feel good : She was smiling and
                      She was watchin me tooo!!!!

Feel bad : after crash.. She was watching me still but with a huge Laugh this tym!
                      Damn girls,no sympathy!!

What I learnt : bOys young age and a cute, fair, sexy, long, hot girl in white shirt and black jeans with marvelous figure and long hairs is killer combination so stay away!!
Dont look at cute girls while riding!
Still if you cant resist looking at her (thats the property of being definetly male) then stop for a sec and admire her insted of trying girgit eyes!

Somthin serious : I am driving since the age of 11 ( at that time I used 2 cushions to reach the perfect height in my 800 ) and riding since the age of 13..
Through this whole years of riding and driving experience i hav EARNED that seat belts, riding gears and most important SANE riding saves life..
Staying Alert and Reflexive plays the key part in surviving!

And final verdict : DONT BE PANIC,no matter watever the situation is..
Ur limbs shouldnt shake, your heartbeat shouldnt go too high, your eyes shouldnt close, your ears shouldnt go blank and ur Brain should be working! This meant ur under control, alert, aware and reflexive!..
I had survived escapes nearly close to death just because i pulled hand brakes and counter steered with right amount of paddle breaking,or just because I was alert enuf to judge the retarding speed of truck (without any lights) in front of me and braked instantly!
These are diffrent stories but what finally works is Active brain and Reflexive action!!

Just Met with First accident in this morning

                        Hey Guys,

I am posting and coming back on xbhp after 2 months. I have got my first job before 4 days in Vodafone. I was heading for office in Okhla for 3rd day of Training from Mahipalpur. When i crossed LADO SARAI terminal, on the next intersection of road, there was some Lubricant liquid (i think) on the newly constructed road. My bike suddenly start slipping, i controlled it at my best but finally i end up with bike falling, me and my P180 slipped away about 4 meters. Some people say that this was not a lubricant but water.

I got several injuries and bike's parking lamp and visor scrached. The Digital speedometer cracked. Now i cant see any nos in meter. My N73 LCD cracked (destroyed completely). Somehow my helmet saved my face completely. I would like to thank the GOD that there was no vehicle behind me on the spot, otherwise it could have been worst. Thanks to a Auto-rickshaw Driver who helped me to get off the road and thanks as well to passer by for help me in this incident. There were some Traffic Police Mans present too, but they did not bothered themselves to offer any help.

I took out the First Aid Kit from bike and someone did the bandage. That guy said me that i should go home. But i thought i was able to drive, and considering this that its my first job, i decided to go office for training. Got the painkillers there, and now i am writing this post.

GUYS Please beware of these newly constructed road (having little holes in pattern, hope u guys understood what i am trying to say) as they get very slippery after a rain or with water on them.

Oh and now please recommend me what should i do to replace the speedometer free of cost, my last service is still remained and have not claimed insurance for any damage.

@Shivanshu sir i thought the job was my Ticket to xBhp DHABA this sunday as i told u my condition when u called me. But i will now have a working sunday. But i hope i will manage to meet you guys.

                        Switching off

                                my accident on 29th april

I met with an accident on 29th of april. I lost my memory for two days because of this incident but now i am fine. But i still dont know what happened that day. I will tell you guys on the basis of what my best friends told me.

I was riding back home after finishing my exam. Suddenly 3 small children on a bike ( underaged) came to the wrong direction of the road and hit me head on. It was a nasty crash. After that i was in the hospital for two days.

The only issue is, this was the only day of my life wen i didnt wear a helmet just because my college was only a kilometre away. This was the biggest mistake i did.

I feel really bad for my ride as it took all the impact

I will surely bring my ride back to life.

                                one note for all
