This happened on wednesday in Hyderabad. I was coming back from office at around 8pm.

Anyone who's from this place (Mehdipatnam) will know how chaotic the traffic is because of the airport flyover being constructed. There's a U turn near my house under the bridge with a lot of sand/dirt/construction material strewn around. Before this break in the divider, there's a traffic bottleneck which is really frustrating cuz you can literally see the open road ahead of you and you're stuck in the traffic. After that point people get a chance to open up the throttle.

FYI, because of the construction , the streetlights were not on and it was pretty dark.

I slowed down to take the U Turn and had the indicator on for the right. I made the turn and was startled to hear a really loud bang preceeded by the sound of a revving engine (a guy on a kinetic was going really fast trying to be some sort of hero and beat everyone in a 'race') There was a guy on a HH passion right behind me who suddenly slowed down to take the U turn as well. The kinetic guy probably didnt know there was a turn up ahead and didnt expect anyone to slow down and banged really hard into the HH Passion. That sent them both literally flying into the air about 15 feet and almost got run over by an RTC bus which was following them.

I stopped to check what happend and realised that both the people who were down had severe head injuries (Seems like their skulls were made of unbreakable metal and they didnt need to wear helmets) and it was obvious that they had both broken a couple of bones. In an instant a crowd gathered trying to just get a glimpse and I noticed that no one was making an effort to do anything about it. They were just calling their friends and telling them what happened. I called 108 and told them that there was an accident and there were people injured. He put me on hold for 2 minutes and informed the closest police station about what happened and told me that the ambulance would be there in 10 minutes.

At this point there was a huge traffic jam and we moved the 2 to the side of the road. A police patrol stopped by in the meantime after they were informed on the radio what happened. I was surprised to see those guys give basic first aid to the injured (I honestly didnt know they even did that. Before this, all I ever saw the police do was stand on the side and just wait for the medics to arrive)

    Lessons learnt :

1.Be extra cautious when you're riding/driving in an area thats new to you. There can be hidden surprises at every corner.

2.Dont ever ride fast when there's contruction work going around. There most definitely will be debris on the road which can make you lose control of your vehicle.

3.In case of an accident, dont ever wait for others assuming they will call an ambulance/emergency services. They most probably will not. Just do the right thing and call help ASAP. Just think how differently you'd react if the person that's hurt is someone you know. We'd take every possible step to make sure they get the best care possible. Do the same for others. Who knows, someone may return the kindness to you one day when you need it the most.(Lets hope it never comes to that in the first place!)

4.Give an account of what happened to the police when they reach the spot. I was listening to some of the stories being cooked up by people who werent even on the spot. They made up stories about how it was a hit and run by a bus! Dont make things complicated than they already are.

5.Make sure the bike's electricals are in working order. Brake lights are there for a reason. Make sure they work! One reason the HH guy was hit was because it was in a pathtic condition and none of the lights werent working. He was practically invisible.

6.Always wear a helmet. They both would have been conscious if they had lids on. and injuries would have been less severe.

7.Riding gear can save a lot of precious skin being lost to road rash. Hurts like a ***** afterwards

      Smashed!!

A month back, was riding my dad's Passion plus(He was sitting as a pillion behind me), A narrow road around Mallepally area, I was behind a bus. A TATA pickup 407D vehicle came from the other side, The road was narrow, and both the bus and the tata pickup scratched each other hardly, as a result, the RTC bus driver applied brakes (The Damn kool Air brakes ) !!

At that point of time I was in a conversation with my dad! Bike was not even at a speed of 20, everything happened within a few milli secs. The bike had a strong momentum (My dad's a bit on heavier side). I was like .These all factors made my bike unstoppable!!

      What next....?

      CRASHH!!!!

Headlight and visor were smashed like anything(I said to myself at that point of time "Cheap Plastic"). Luckily i could stop myself from falling on the bus!!

      No injuries thk God!

The bike went to the showroom the next day, came home later in the evening like a new faced baby.

I learnt 2 things : 1. Never talk while driving 2.Keep safe distance from Vehicles, especially the RTC buses..
From variable Bhps to a constant 17.6 Bhp.

This incident happened when I was diving my dads optra. I was at a traffic light, when it had turned green I started my car and began to move when out of no where a guy on a samurai cuts across from my right without paying the slightest attention to whether any vehicles are behind him expecting them to stop and let him pass and then I slam my brakes but bringing the 1ton+ car to stop at an instant is not that easy and then wham the guy scratches the side of my bumper and ends up on the ground with a bruised left hand and a broken tail piece and has the guts to blame me for the incident and begins to threaten me, my friend who was travelling with me pickes up a stone and threatens to break open his head if he does not leave the place the biker gets up mumbles some french and goes away damages that occoured badly scratched bumper, broken indicators and headlight totally came up to somewhere around 8-10k.
what I learned from the incident:never cut across the path of any moving vehicle expecially the 4 wheeled kind cause if I had been driving at a faster pace im sure that the biker would have been under the wheel of my car and size does matter..well sometimes..
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe

This happened an year ago. It was a rainy day and I was going home on my Discover 125 after attending my coaching classes. Was feeling quite miserable and hateful throughout the ride.(aaahhh........the rainy day blues )
Was coming up behind a maruti 800. The bloke gently cuts to the left to let me overtake,I accelerate to about 50-55 and was about to get level to the car when from out of nowhere a girl cuts in and comes right in front of me. I braked to avoid a collision but as the road was slippery the rear tyres weren't gripping. And what did that cursed girl do ,she braked too, right in front of me.
My bike's front got smashed as it hit and she with her scooty pep was thrown about ten feet away. I was on the ground and the bike came on top of me.
I got up and took the Discover and parked it at the side. And then I helped the girl to get up.
Just then some 'roadside heroes' decided to intervene to help an 'abala naari' and beat up a spoiled youngster like me. They tried to grab my collar.....And that did it........
I was so pissed that I took my helmet an beat the hell out of two of them......... the rest ran away..........
Police arrived but the bloke in the maruti had seen whose fault it was and helped in the conversation since I was swearing a lot.............
The police were having a hard time getting a word in.
Afterwards I helped the girl to get her Pep repaired, took her to the doctor( obviously I had to pay for the bandages)and dropped her off at her house. My Discover suffered minor scratches and me too had several bruises.
          THE END.

            Smashed goons

this happened on highway on way back from college.

my friend was in 800(who thought it could do 88kmph:P and cud come to halt in 80 meters) he was doing good speed 100+ and was about to overtake another 800(which was doing 50-60kmph) in front, suddenly the 800) infront decided to move on wrong side for no reason and my friend bangs into his car at 100+ and both go offf the road.

they both realise its their fault, and both were respnsible for what happened, coz my frnd didnt blow pass-by horn, and the other person suddenly moved wihout any indication(bcoz there was a small bump on road, so was trying to avoid that) everything was normal till now.
suddenly in middle of this, a white safari comes and 2 people(local goons, with moustaches, tall, black, hefty, stomachs which looks as if they were 18 months pregnant )in short pretty scary men. and to add to this it was something like their area and he was the head of goons it seems. he suddenly comes in between and asks whole story and decided that it was our mistake and not the other cars, and now he wants us to pay 15,000/-rs to them(he had a small talk with owner of other car and said he wud give him 10,000/- and wud keep 5000/-) though damage to car was not more than 4000/-rs. the owner of other car was now tempted with that extra money he was getting, and agreed with the goon. we were just 5 people at that time, he started using filthy words, we were getting irritated but still kept quiet and tried to resolve this, then this resulted in a small argument, which was getting worse.

but one thing good happening for us was, we called police station(30 kms away from that spot) and also many of our friends were comming on the way, as we left a bit early from college. with in ten minutes the argument was so heated that we were about to get into fight(we were worried that he might have some dagger/stuff). within 10 minutes 2 of our college buses were passing who saw us and stopped. now we were 100+ and they were just 2 he senses that nothing is gonna work now and was trying to flee away, but then i started the fight, imagine 5 friends beating 2 local goons, with support of 100+ friends. i know this wasnt fair game but really enjoyed it. it was like arree yaar tune nahi peeta ussko!! jaa jaake peet thoda sa. some one tored their shirts, took a stone and scratched his new white safari on bonnet, it was like we had the liecense to kick their @ss..

police came 30 minutes later, took hold of the other car owner.

moral of the story is if anything goes wrong dont let passer to interfere in between, if somethings serious call police..

THERE AFTER WE NEVER TOOK THAT 800 TO COLLEGE FEARING THOSE GOONS, LUCKILY IT WAS OUR FINAL YEARS EXAMS GOING ON SO WAS LIKE WE WENT TO COLLEGE FOR 3 TIMES AFTER THAT INCIDENT.

why do ppl always support the girl in a accident even though they might have been the culprit 90% times. No offense but majority of women dont know how to react in these split-second moments .plus they usuallly never wear helmets nor have licences n even the traffic cops let them off easily when they start making crocodile tears

And to add to that,I have always observed that it's the good for nothing goons that jump in whenever there's an accident involving a girl.
Uncles and aunties move on easily after muttering a few curses at the male involved but these goons are the ones shouting at the top of their voices to make sure they make a hero out of themselves.

And my mentioned accident is nothing before the one I witnessed later on when a Optra Magnum full of girls(was driven by one too) hit an RTR at speed of 90+(the car was doing 90,not the RTR). Poor guy.
I had a P200 then and that was the fastest I ever rode when I was giving pursuit to make them stop.120..........
I will update about this later. Dont want to write or remember that accident.......ever.

                  Accident Relief

                  Hello Guys,
I happened to witness a serious accident last night on my way back home. The guy was riding a avenger and had skidded and fallen, injuring his head badly (he was wearing a helmet). He was lying motionless, many assumed him to be dead but no one was taking a step forward to reach out to him. Even I went near him and dint know what exactly to do. We lost almost 20mins before another 3 guys came to help and we shifted him into a car of a passerby who was willing to take him to hospital.

I did the following last night:
                  1. Called the ambulance (it dint arrive till the victim was shifted in a car)
                  2. Spoke to a person (no stored) in his mobile phone and informed them that he has met with an accident
                  3. Wasted 20 mins before we could act, wasting time which i think is very precious when dealing with head injuries.

Let us share our knowledge on the many DO's and DONT's when witnessing a accident and helping the victims.

While going on a trip, saw this car totalled by the bloody truck running in the opposite direction. Must have taken place during the wee hours on dawn, maybe the car driver was drunk too, and a lots of other maybes. But didn't seem like the poor guy survived.

i got my very first accident on FZ.....before this one i had 2 more....
I was lucky....that damn Scorpio can smash me as well.........
so xBhpians it happens like nothing...
i had just started riding @ 20 kmph....and a scorpio had honking for side....
I am sure that car was speeding over 120 that time ....I gave him side....without changing that 20 speed....
then the hell happened...when car was parallel to me....
suddenly a kid came in front of Scorpio and he just braked the car and got skidded on road....there was too much sand there...
and he turned his car towards me and I was in shock at that time....
I pressed both breaks and bike got skid too....
and after some time everything stops...
i opened my eyes..and as I saw something dark black ..
i thought " Oh Man I am Dead and I am in Hell now "
Then i heard a vice saying " Oye Wo ladka kahan gaya Jiski Bike hai"
< where is that guy, was on bike"
I said "ohh I still am alive "
then shouted " look here take me out"
that was really scary...I am 6' and was there in diagonal position....

then i saw my bike was in road....
i took my helmate off ( my savior)
some people run to me and what they asked......"Bhaiya Bike to Kuch Nahi hua Na....."
                            I said ***k u !!!!
I m dying here and u r asking Bike to Kuch Nahi hua Na....

humm.......posting some pics of bike after accident...

                            posting those images too..

from all my accidents i learned...proper safety gear can save you anywhere, anytime..
and it doesn't matter how good rider you are, other people can drive worst then a Donkey
and most important-never drive slow, and never give side to a speeding scorpio (follow this only in case when you have R-1,Busa, Fireblade or something Similar )

P.S.- My friend call me Innocent Accident King
that's because I had 3 accidents and none of them happened by my mistake...and I will surely tell THE Story of my previous 2 accidents someday...

i had the worst crash. It was 2.30 pm, i was carrying my back-pack which had a nice bottle of a motul 300v, wearing chappals, a t-shirt, my fav denim and yes a helmet. back then,i had recently fitted a k&n filter, had fallen in love with the roar. THere is a mulund tol-naka nad after which there is a strip of half a km, where you blast to speeds above 130 easily in a car or a bike. i started off red-lining and immideatly touched 100+ km/hr oevertook a getz, then an indica. THere was huge water tanker ahead of these 2 cars, so had to decelarate from 124 to 115 odd, when i was nearing the tanker, i dint want to loose more speed. All the action was happening on the extreme roght lane and the lane next ot it. I tried honking and gave up; when miraculously the tanker swerved to the left, like a jerk to the left. i was finally contented, & blasted off to 120, when the horizon became crystal clear after the truck moved out out of my sight; i realised there was a stone about a foot high in the trucks way, coz of which it had swerved. Right there, in the middle of the highway, where no one could imagine in there worst possible nightmare.

Bam!! i HIT the stone at that speed, all my adrenaline rushing to my guts, bile rising to the throat. i started plumetting to the ground ,I was wondering why was leaning to the right side and was going to hit the road any moment. I had hit the stone, front tyre first and was air-borne for like the longest 4-5 secs of my life, then i landed on the rear wheel first like a pro-motocross champ, i congratulated myself, but life had other plans for me. I strated tilting to the right, suddenly the bike overpowering me in the control department.i just left the bike and started skidding on the back pack, the afternoon heat on the asaphalt road can be HOT really hot. SO hot that the chains on my bag had melted awy, due to heat as well as the friction caused by the skidding. I must have skidded for like 20-30 mtrs. All the time i could see the bike swirling on the leg-guard rotating like a top towards the tanker which was still going. I heard the two cars which i passed screeching and skidding. The indica was tailing me, so they were doing 100+ speeds as well. I was totally consious, i got up brushed my self, my chappals had torn apart, ran bare-foot towards my bike, to see if it was all right . I looked at the bike and realised that the fron tyre had burst due to the impact, thus exposing the mag wheel to the ground, and when i landed, it was straight on the bare mag wheel, which just boke!! other wise the bike was just fine!. due to the skidding of mine, the flesh on my forarm had ripped off to the bone, had several ther bad bruises on my palm, when i tried stopping myself from skidding further on the road...

Till then the car occupants and other by-standers came, one gave my my chappals, another my watch, on gave me my helmet visor.
