October 2015 Two Wheeler Sales Report for India and Export.
Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, today reported sales of 639,802 units in October – its highest ever sales in any month. This is a growth of 11.25% over the corresponding month last year when the company had sold 575,056 units.
Bajaj Auto reported a decline of 9% in October sales. The motorcycle sales have dropped to 3,08,733 units over 3,52,822 units a year ago while the exports in the aforementioned figure stood at 12,765 units, a decline of 19% over the last year.
TVS Motors continues 2015 with 14% growth in sales of October month with total sales increasing from 2,41,044 units recorded in October’14 to 2,74,622 units in the month of October’15.
Scooters sales of the company grew by 30% increasing from 70,571 units in the month of October 2014 to 91,430 units in the month of October 2015. Motorcycles sales grew by 17% increasing from 90,779 units in the month of October 2014 to 106,175 units in the month of October 2015.
Two wheeler exports grew by 18% with sales increasing from 27,696 units in the month of October 2014 to 32,621 units in the month of October 2015.
Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India reported 19.1% increase in total sales at 4,49,028 units in October, the company sold 3,77,001 units in the corresponding month last year.
The Motorcycles sales, however declined marginally at 1,61,685 units as against 1,62,188 units in the same month last year while the scooter sales jumped 35.54% to 2,70,371 units from 1,99,466 units in October 2014 and the total export grew by 10.58% to 16,972 units against 15,347 units in the same month a year ago.
Yamaha Motors sales stood at 70,800 units in October this year against 54,698 units of October 2014. Exports sales of the month stood at 12,797 units against 12,148 units a year ago, 5% rise in sale as per company reports.
Roy Kurian, Vice President Sales and Marketing, Yamaha Motors India said,
The month has ended on a very positive note for us as our recent launches of new colour variants of FZ-FI, Fazer-FI and single seat YZF-R15S also made it to the growth trajectory.
Royal Enfield continued strong sales momentum with 44,138 units in combined domestic wholesale and exports in October month, recording a massive growth of 73% over same period last year.
