xBhp has got to know from reliable sources that the DSK Benelli TNT 25 launch in India is scheduled within the next few days.
The TNT 25 was first revealed at EICMA 2015 along with a whole lot of other launches by the Italian company. Among those launches the TNT 25 will be the first bike to hit the Indian market, as we had expected and reported. We have come to know that the bike is due for a December launch, most likely being launched on the 18th of December.
The TNT 25 will be powered by a liquid cooled, single cylinder, 4-stroke DOHC 250 cc Benelli engine that will produce 25 BHP at 9000 rpm and a peak torque of 21.5 Nm at 7500 rpm mark. The steel frame incorporates the engine as a stressed member further adding to the rigidity of the chassis. The suspension job will be taken care of by a 41 mm USD at the front and a single swingarm mounted shock absorber at the rear.
The DSK Benelli TNT 25 will also have a 280 mm disc at the front with a 4 piston caliper and at the rear a 240 mm single disc with a double piston caliper to take care of the braking department.
In India, the bike will compete with the likes of the KTM Duke 200 and we can expect it to be priced similarly to be competitive. This will also be the cheapest DSK Benelli to be sold in India and thus an important addition to the company’s portfolio. The TNT 25 will be brought into the country as a CKD.
