During the initial phase, roofs of the factory building area will be utilised to install solar panels for the partial needs of electricity requirement at the facility. In the second phase, it will be further extended to cover parking area inside the surajpur facility premises.
Solar power systems are planned to be installed in Yamaha other facilities as well.
We think this is a great initiative from an automobile manufacturer to invest in energy conservation and environmental friendly technology.
Yamaha Surajpur facility is not the only one to opt for green and clean environment route, in fact the Kochi Airport runs 100% in solar power. It is also the world’s first solar powered Airport.
