Bajaj Auto has launched its much awaited Bajaj V15 motorcycle in India priced at Rs. 62,000 ex-showroom, Delhi. The bike was showcased earlier this month before the Auto Expo 2016 in Delhi. Those who waited patiently for the launch can book the bike from their nearest dealership with a booking amount of Rs 5000.
Bajaj had created a lot of buzz with the release of a teaser video of the bike on Republic Day. The video showcased the scrap metal of the INS Vikrant being melted and reused to build the Bajaj V15. The name of the motorcycle ‘V’ is also derived from the warship INS Vikrant.
Powering the Bajaj V15 is a 149.5cc, single-cylinder, DTS-i engine that, mated to a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox, produces 12bhp at 7,500rpm and 13Nm at 5,500rpm. Coming to its dimensions, the Bajaj V bike measures 204mm in length, 780mm in width, 1355mm in wheelbase, 780mm in saddle height and 1070mm in height. The bike offers a ground clearance of 165mm and weighs 135.5kg.
The Bajaj V15 is currently on display at Bajaj dealership nationwide. The deliveries of the bike will commence from mid-March 2016.
