Bajaj Auto has reduced the price of its motorcycles up to Rs 4,500 effective from June 14th 2017.

The Goods and Services Tax (GST) on the motorcycles will be implemented from 1st July 2017. Motorcycles above 350cc will attract an additional cess of 3%. The current GST tax rate for the motorcycles is 30%, whereas the revised GST tax rate has been reduced to 28% which is lower than the current tax rate of 30%.

According to ET, Bajaj would like to offer the benefits of the price reduction to the customers. Approx. Rs. 4500, but the actual price will vary depending on the city and motorcycle model.

Bajaj Auto President Eric Vas said, “With the GST implementation just round the corner, we felt that it would be appropriate to pass on this significant savings to customers.”
