Hero MotoCorp, India’s largest two wheeler manufacturer reported strong sales performance in the month of February. Company sold 5,50,992 units of two-wheeler in February 2016, as compared to 484,769 units in the corresponding month last year, reflecting a robust double-digit growth of 13.6%.
Hero Motocorp also stated that their manufacturing facilities at Gurgaon and Dharuhera in Haryana and at Neemrana in Rajasthan being impacted for a few days due to the local agitations in the region during the month.
Yamaha Motors India reported a growth rate of 50% in domestic sales in February 2016, as compared to the corresponding period last year. The company sold 56,960 units in February 2016 as against 37,982 units sold in February last year.
Mr. Roy Kurian, Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd. said,

During the Auto Expo 2016, Yamaha was overwhelmed to see the customer’s response at the Yamaha pavilion, specially their reactions on the recently unveiled scooter Ray Z-R and the latest launch of MT-09. Their reaction is a true reflection of their love towards Yamaha.”
Bajaj Auto registered 9% growth in the month of February. They have sold 2,35,282 units last month as against 2,16,077 units during corresponding month previous year. The company’s exports declined 12 % and stood at 98,959 units. During February 2015, 1,12,909 units were exported.
TVS Motors two-wheelers sales grew 7.99% to 2,11,148 units as against 1,95,509 units sold in the same month of last year.
Motorcycle sales rose 3.77 % to 77,093 units in February compared with 74,292 in the same month a year ago. Scooter sales surged 18.21 % to 67,089 units as against 56,750 in the same period a year ago.
Exports during the month declined by 10.12 % to 34,804 units, from 38,725 in February last year.
Royal Enfield Motorcycles sales stood at 49,156 units as against 30,240 units of February last year. Thus registering a growth of 63% for the month of February.
Company’s export registered a 112% growth with 1589 units sold in February this year against 749 units in the same month last year.
