Guy Martin, the Isle of Man TT icon is better known for his 15 podium finish. He has announced his participation in 2016 Briish Rallycross Championship. The TT star will race a 600bhp, Ford Focus, four-wheel-drive WRC in the Supercar class for Team RX Racing.

The car belongs to Ollie O’Donovan, team RX racing lead driver and former MSA British Rallycross Champion.

Ollie O’Donovan said: “I’m sure Guy will have no problem learning to drive the car, but we will go through everything with him at a test session to give him the best chance possible at whichever event he does. We’re all really excited to be working with him, he’s a real racer and I think rallycross will suit him very well.”

According to Team RX Racing – The exact event in which Guy Martin will compete will occur later in the year after he has finished his latest television schedule with Channel 4.

Martin will not be racing the Isle of Man TT this year.
