The first camera I picked was a Sony 1.3 MP in 2002. It started my journey of documenting the motorcycling lifestyle on xBhp forums in India. As time progressed we have all seen the progression of camera technologies until the action camera was invented. This changed the way we shoot and record on the go, especially on a motorcycle where you have limited space. It has changed many people’s fortune, making them motovloggers and stars on YouTube and other platforms. Yes, we don’t stop enough to think how radical this actually is! Personally, I adopted the action cameras way too late as I was mostly into photography. The first time I properly vlogged was in 2019!

Fast forward to 2023, I have circumnavigated the globe in just two months shooting many different kinds of vehicles. It is pretty insane. The only way I could do it solo and have different kinds of shots and perspectives was to have the right kind of tools.

I remember reading about the Insta 360 first when NASA used the Insta360 Pro 2 to live stream the historic Mars rover landing. The 360 technology enchanted me. Since then Insta360 has become so much more than just making the world’s best 360 cameras. Right now I have the Insta360 X3, Insta360 ONE RS 1-inch, Insta360 Go 2, Insta360 RS Twin edition, Insta360 Flow and a few accessories along with it like the bullet time cord. Here are some photos before I tell you more about the system.

The GPS remote that comes with the Insta360 ONE RS is a handy little thing. Using this I used to control my ONE RS action camera without taking my hands off the steering wheel or the handlebar or engaging my phone app again and again. This helps when you are in a car and the camera is mounted outside. It has a very reliable connection as well. It has Bluetooth 5 for a great connection along with three different systems for faster connections and accurate GPS data, it can also be used to wake up the camera even when it is off.

The Insta360 X3 has been touted by many as the most powerful camera ever made. Its power is in the fact that it produces extremely good quality videos and photos, along with being extremely portable, and lightweight (considering what it does) and most importantly the software ecosystem that it has for anyone to produce great results using the Insta 360 app on their phone! Plus with the use of a selfie stick it practically disappears from the shots giving insane possibilities. Can you imagine this before the 360 camera? Having a triple clamp suction setup helps do higher speeds, however, the base might be visible because it is too wide for the software to stitch out. In photos, this can be done in post-processing though.

Despite its pocketability, the Insta360 ONE RS 1-inch has a 1″ CMOS sensor with a LEICA lens. The large sensor makes it adept even in low-light conditions. Imagine having a camera in your pocket that you can use to make the darkest of sunsets come alive!

The Insta360 GO2 may be one of the smallest cameras around but it packs a heck of a punch. Because of its diminutive dimensions and stellar output quality, its creative use is only limited by one’s imagination.

The Insta 360 Flow is termed the world’s first AI gimbal. It uses very powerful tracking features in the software combined with a very versatile gimbal. I used to give the impression that there was a cameraman with me. All my videos were with the phone and this became indispensable. This also serves as a tripod and a selfie stick. Talk about wearing many hats!
