During the first weekend of June Lambretta, the iconic Italian scooter brand celebrated its 70th anniversary with the introduction of the V-Special.
Selected international audience of 90 guests from 18 countries (journalists, importers, partners and representatives of the international Lambretta community) was witnessing the launch of the masculine machine at the historic estate of Conte Giordano Emo Capodilista near Padova.
The V-Special was presented to the “Lambrettisti“ celebrating the 70th anniversary at the racing circuit in Adria. The model was well-received and numerous distributors placed their pre-orders to safeguard their quantities. Six Lambretta models will be launched during the first quarter of 2018 where distributors from all continents will have the opportunity to order.
The design, created by world renowned KISKA (KTM and Husqvarna) in collaboration with the Italian Lambretta community is a synthesis of classic design elements with a modern interpretation. The masculine machine is issued with the vibrant type names V50, V125, and V200.
One of the features Lambretta introduces is the double layer side panel. It encompasses an ingenious 1.2 mm steel semi-monocoque architecture inspired by the aeronautic industry. The sides are covered with panels that can be delivered in different shapes, colours, and materials. In 2018 the V-Special will be issued with an electric engine.
Lambretta GmbH, a joint venture company of Lambretta Consortium (Innocenti S.A. based in Lugano) and Austrian KSR Group anticipate on presenting the whole gamma of products at EICMA Milan end of 2017.
