Yes, as the name implies, this latest production of the French builder Lazareth has eight cylinders and 4,691cc of displacement. It is a four-wheeler … almost.
The french builder Lazareth is well known for its unique and impressive machines. They have presented the Lazareth LM847 at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show and this beastly-looking thing is in fact a leaning quad-bike that is powered by a Maserati V8 engine that produces roughly 470 horse power and 620 Nm of torque. The LM847 has a single-speed gearbox with a hydraulic coupler and dual chain final drive. That means you can attain the top speed without shifting gears, if left alive.
This is not the first motorcycle that packs a giant car engine. The American cruiser Boss Hoss is powered with a 5.7 litre Chevrolet V8 engine and also the Dodge Tomahawk is V10 powered quad which in fact resembles the Lazereth LM847 a lot.
The Lazareth LM847 comes with a dual-wheel hub center steering front end. The tail section is borrowed from Ducati 1299 Panigale that fits perfectly into this crazy looking quad. Braking power comes from two 420mm disc 8-pot Nissin calipers in the front, while the rear uses two 255mm 4-pot calipers Brembo setup.
With a total weight of 400 kg this machine has a tremendous power which no one will try to mess with.
