2017 Husqvarna 1301 power cruiser spied testing near the KTM factory in Mattighofen, Austria. The bike is based on the KTM 1290 Super Duke engine and will take the Ducati Diavel head-on.
As per the spy images, we believe that the company is building 1301 Husqvarna Power Cruiser for speed rather than comfort with those low handlebars and compact solo seat. The bike shares major components with KTM’s Super Duke R such as the frame, swingarm, wheels and V-twin engine. But with those swingarm mounted number plate holders and rear tyre hugger like Diavel it makes it a power cruiser.
We are expecting the Husqvarna 1301 to produce around 170 bhp of power since it uses the 1290 Super Duke R’s engine and chassis, which makes it more powerful than the Ducati Diavel.
It will be interesting to see what the final product will look like. We expect it to be showcased at the EICMA Motor show in Milan later this year.
