Two-Wheelers in Delhi which were earlier kept out of odd-even rule to be enforced by 2016 may have to follow the rule too, a member of Aam Aadmi Party has indicated.
Adarsh Shastri, AAP MLA told NDTV that if there are enough buses on the road, Delhi government may review the exemption granted to two-wheelers and they will have follow the rule too.
The Odd-Even Rule by Delhi, government will be implemented on a trial basis between January 1 and 15. During the 15-day trial period, two-wheelers, women drivers accompanied by children up to the age of 12 and CNG-certified vehicles will be exempted under the scheme including President, Prime Minister, chief ministers and governors.
Delhi Police Chief BS Bassi said – “If someone says he is sick? I cannot stop him because I have to believe him. There is a possibility that many persons who will be violating will be able to wiggle through because of the exemptions. I wish we had gone for a policy without any exemptions.”
