WATCH: #RideTheCharge with Lectro E-Cycles

This past Sunday, March 15, 2020, we at xBhp in association with Lectro E-Cycles had organized a different kind of bikers’ meet wherein we tried to bridge the gap between the bicycles and the motorcycles, and the electric bicycles from #Lectro became that proverbial bridge.

#rideTheCharge : Bridging the gap between cycles and motorcycles

#rideTheCharge was an initiative by #xBhp and Lectro E-Cycles. We had organized a different kind of bikers’ meet wherein we tried to bridge the gap between the bicycles and the motorcycles, and the electric bicycles from #Lectro became that proverbial bridge. The idea behind the meet was to get more motorcyclists to taste, and ultimately adopt, the healthier version of two-wheeling life. And the electric bicycles providing varying levels of mechanical and electrical assists seemed to fit the bill as the ultimate motivator, and here’s where Lectro pitched in. And since we are eventually going to adopt electric vehicles sooner than later, this also seemed like a good idea to let bikers have a glimpse of the future as well. Here is the video of what transpired that day at the Throttle Shrottle Moto-Ranch #throttleShrottle #throttleShrottleLife NOTE :: This event was a couple of weeks ago pre lockdown.

You can read our review of the Lectro TownMaster e-cycle here

We had floated a form earlier where we asked bikers from Delhi/NCR to register if they wanted to be a part of this meet. Due to the availability of a limited number of e-cycles, we kept the number limited to approximately 50 bikers.

The initial meet up point was the xBhp Dhaba in the Qutub Institutional Area and the meetup time was 6:30 A.M. It was a rather cold Sunday morning for the month of March, but that didn’t stop the bikers from joining the ride. This also happened to be our first big meet this year. We rode in a 2 x 2 formation towards our event venue – Throttle Shrottle Moto-Ranch– which is the ideal place for an activity like this.

Here, after the initial briefing and a healthy push-up competition, the bikers were invited to test ride the various e-cycles from Lectro that were available there, including their flagship Lectro EHX20 and Lectro TownMaster. Team Lectro also shared a few tips on how to the right bicycle. We had also kept a few fun activities on the agenda, including the slow-race, slalom, and making the figure-of-eight on these e-cycles. The winners walked away with a cool, special edition xBhp tee shirt.

Here are the technical specifications of 3 of the e-bikes that were present there

Thanks everyone who participated in this #RideTheCharge (#BackToTheHealthyFuture) Big thanks to everyone from Lectro for supporting this ride. Also thanks to Monster Energy for energizing the bikers! And last but not the least, thanks to Throttle Shrottle Moto Ranch for being a wonderful host.
