The sun had just started to cast its early morning rays over the city when I embarked on my latest adventure—an exhilarating ride on the latest TVS Jupiter 110 from Noida to the Kakanmath Temple in Morena, Madhya Pradesh. This journey took me across bustling city streets, serene countryside roads, and even into the rugged, mysterious landscapes of Chambal’s infamous badlands.

At precisely 7:00 AM, the quiet hum of the TVS Jupiter’s new 113cc engine broke the silence of the morning as I began my journey. Noida’s rush hour was just waking up, but I was already on my way to my first milestone: the Delhi-Agra Yamuna Expressway. The expressway, known for its buttery smooth tarmac, was an absolute pleasure. The new TVS Jupiter, with its impressive mileage and a refined power output of 6 kW at 6,500 RPM, effortlessly cruised along, offering a smooth, comfortable, and responsive ride.

As I twisted the throttle, the scooter responded with just the right amount of pep, thanks to the iGO assist feature that delivers an additional pickup when needed, enhancing my overtakes with ease. The fuel efficiency, too, was remarkable, as I covered long distances without worrying about stopping for fuel frequently.
After about an hour of riding, I stopped at Highway Masala, a popular spot for bikers along the Delhi-Agra route. The stop wasn’t just about stretching my legs but fueling my body for the journey ahead. I indulged in a classic breakfast of sizzling Paneer Parathas with a cup of ginger chai.

As I sat there, reflecting on the scooter’s performance, I couldn’t help but notice how the TVS Jupiter’s large, comfortable seat kept me from feeling fatigued. The scooter’s front fuel fill feature, allowing me to quickly refuel without dismounting, also saved precious time. It also makes sense because the new Jupiter was crafted for convenience and long rides like this one.
Refreshed, I hopped back on the TVS Jupiter and continued toward Agra, taking a quick breather near Vrindavan. Riding through these spiritual lands made me reflect on the diversity of our country. The scooter’s lightweight handling and impressive braking performance (especially on the SXC Disc variant) made navigating through smaller roads and turns an effortless task.

Upon reaching Agra, the GPS took me on an unexpected detour toward Pinahat, a quaint town on the banks of the Chambal River. This is where my ride took a turn for the adventurous. Instead of finding a clear road to Morena, I was greeted by a vast expanse of water. The road had ended at the riverbank, and crossing it seemed impossible.
Standing on the edge of the Chambal River, I contemplated my next move. Locals informed me that crossing the river by boat was the only way to avoid an additional 3-4 hours of travel time. My destination, the Kakanmath Temple, was just 35 kilometres away on the other side of the river, yet the waters seemed to stand as an insurmountable barrier. The rivalry between locals on opposite sides of the river prevented me from taking the scooter on the steamer boat. They were willing to ferry me across, but only if I left my beloved Jupiter behind, a proposition I simply couldn’t accept.

After several fruitless attempts to reason with the boat owner, a helpful local guided me to another spot, about 25 kilometres away, where a boat allowed passengers to take their vehicles across. The sun had already set, and by the time I reached the other side, darkness had fallen over the rugged landscape of Chambal’s notorious badlands.

The badlands, or Beehad of Chambal, are known for their harsh and rugged terrain. In the pitch-black night, with no GPS to guide me and no proper roads to follow, I relied solely on the directions of kind-hearted locals. Moments like these assessed both my resolve and the capabilities of TVS Jupiter. The scooter’s bright LED signature infinity lamps cut through the darkness, guiding my way through uncharted territory.

Eventually, I reached the small town of Porsa in Morena, where I decided to rest for the night. Like many in this part of Madhya Pradesh, Porsa had a rustic charm. The next morning, I would finally visit the supernatural and architecturally stunning Kakanmath Temple.

Kakanmath Temple is a structure shrouded in mystery and legend. Built in the 11th century, it is said to have been constructed overnight by supernatural forces, with no clear explanation as to how such a massive and intricate structure could have been erected in such a short time. As I stood before the ancient ruins, the serenity of the place enveloped me. The architectural marvel, although partially in ruins, still stood tall, evoking a sense of awe and wonder.

The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is a testament to the grandeur of Indian temple architecture. Each stone seemed to hold secrets of a bygone era, and being there felt surreal. The TVS Jupiter, parked beside the grand ruins, seemed like a modern-day chariot that had carried me through time.

After soaking in the spiritual vibes of Kakanmath, I headed towards Morena, crossing the Kotwal Reservoir. The place exudes a mythical aura, and as I rode past it, I couldn’t help but feel connected to the ancient tales of valour and sacrifice that connect this place with Mahabharat.

In Morena, I met with an old xBhpian, Mr. Gagan, who runs a Hero Motorcycle dealership. As word spread about my journey, a few local bikers from Morena, Gwalior, and Dholpur expressed their interest in meeting up. We quickly organized an impromptu meetup for the following morning.

The next day, over 35 bikers gathered at Gagan Enterprises early in the morning, where we shared breakfast and stories. From there, we took a short 35kms ride to the Chausath Yogini Temple in Mitawali, Morena. This ancient temple is believed to have become the inspiration for the modern-day architecture of the Indian Parliament. Besides that, it is also said that this temple has a strong Tantrik connection and is one of the four Chausath Yogini temples in India. Its circular design, with 64 shrines dedicated to various goddesses, is both fascinating and eerie. The temple’s mythological and historical significance left everyone in awe.

After the meetup, I thanked all the biking clubs and riders for turning up on such short notice. The support from the biking community had been overwhelming, and it truly added to the spirit of the journey. And a special thanks to Gagan Enterprise for hosting the meetup at such short notice.

As I began my return journey to Delhi, I stopped at the Muchkund Temple in Dholpur. This ancient temple is another hidden gem, with its beautiful architecture and peaceful surroundings. It is said that King Muchkund, after whom the temple is named, was granted a boon to sleep here undisturbed for ages. This temple has a beautiful reservoir surrounded by a series of temples of different dates. Visiting this place felt like going back in time, into a world where mythology and reality merge seamlessly.

Just as I was leaving Dholpur, a sudden downpour caught me off guard. But the TVS Jupiter’s stability, even on wet and slippery roads, gave me the confidence to ride through the rain without worry. After a long day of riding, covering close to 750 kilometres, I finally reached back home.

Throughout this journey, the TVS Jupiter 110 proved to be an exceptional companion. The new 113cc engine, delivering 9.6 Nm of torque at 4,500 RPM, ensured that the scooter never felt underpowered, even on inclines or during overtakes. The iGO assist feature came in handy, offering that extra push exactly when I needed it.

The long seat provided unparalleled comfort, even after hours of riding. The ample under-seat storage space, large enough to store two helmets, was a blessing for keeping my essentials secure. The digital colour cluster with mileage indicators, call and SMS alerts, and voice-assisted navigation made my ride smoother and more connected. The “find my vehicle” feature was another thoughtful addition, especially in crowded parking areas during my stops. Though the kind of place I visited, I didn’t get to use that feature that often, as mostly I was the only one around.

This ride to Kakanmath Temple, through the winding roads, scenic landscapes, and the mystical aura of ancient temples, was nothing short of an adventure. It was a reminder of the rich cultural and spiritual heritage hidden in every corner of India. The TVS Jupiter 110, with its blend of performance, style, and modern technology, was the perfect vehicle to undertake this journey.

The scooter’s reliability, mileage, and comfort made even the most challenging parts of the journey enjoyable. Whether it was cruising on the expressway, navigating through unpaved paths, or braving the rain, Jupiter handled everything with ease.

As I look back on this ride, I realize that it wasn’t just a trip to a temple; it was a journey into India’s soul, discovering stories, landscapes, and connections that will stay with me forever. The TVS Jupiter 110 didn’t just take me to my destination, it became an integral part of the adventure itself.
