^^ that link is crap.
try this.Yamaha YZF R6 is available in India at the cost of Rs. 6,00,000/-. (Indian Rupees) INR. The price of Yamaha YZF R6 mentioned here exclusive of tax, insurance, registration and the accessories. The Yamaha YZF R6 price mentioned above as per the Ex-Showroom prices. One should contact the Yamaha YZF R6 dealer to know the exact price of bike.
the R6 doesn't sell at dealerships here..

I see, than the news must be useless too. BDW why yamaha is not launching R6 here, if R1 is already available. Strange..!!!Originally posted by xionite View Post^^ that link is crap.

Fantastic review on this thread. me super exited and have booked the machine. the upright sitting position and the wait for so many years was the driver...couldnt wait any more for decently priced bike.
just spoke to Pro biking showroom person and he said that booking is closed all over the country and it wont open up for atleast another few weeks as they have over booked. the first lot may get delivered by 20th July...i hope i get mine

Can you tell me how the octane rating of the fuel affects the compression ratio which is a mechanical volumetric ratio of your combustion chamber?Originally posted by MJ1984 View Post-Will also affect the compression ratio
Depends of where you stand in the overall queue. I don't think they can deliver bikes based on national booking. This is just too complicated logistically. I believe they will ship out a pre-allocated number of bikes to each dealership and the dealership delivers in the order of booking pending payment of balance amount.Originally posted by THOMAS JOSEPH View Postjust spoke to Pro biking showroom person and he said that booking is closed all over the country and it wont open up for atleast another few weeks as they have over booked. the first lot may get delivered by 20th July...i hope i get mine
The allocated number of bikes can be in the low single digits keeping in mind the issues the Japanese manufacturers are facing with production and parts supply.Kriss : 15.06.1981 - 11.10.2009

What is: "Difficulty in managing RPM for a certain period of time"
Dear RPM,
I have observed you have been coming late to work and leaving very late. Let me know if I should increase the octane content to help you manage time?

Lower octane fuel has impurities like sand grains in it. So when using lower octane fuel you end up changing the dimensions of your combustion chamber cause the sand granules polish the inside of the chamber and the piston surface etc. It's very simple !Originally posted by gsferrari View PostCan you tell me how the octane rating of the fuel affects the compression ratio which is a mechanical volumetric ratio of your combustion chamber?
Use lower octane fuel for long and you might end up increasing the cubic capacity of your bike. Now that's a tip and a little known motorcycling trivia.
Thanks.sigpic
when i ride bullet before my bullet was solid condition but i once race with a Ceilo car and my engine size. mechancic say bullet is good bike but no racing. it is good for three people and very powerful.

Koshun: if the cubic capacity increases, would it mean increase in compression or decrease in compression

So that is the widely available normal petrol here? :S Which is cheaper than Speed ,which is cheaper than speed 97. So by all means one should never use the "normal petrol" in their vehicles at all if it has all the consequences mentioned above? :O (asking coz quite recently i have been using it a lot now since the rise in petrol prices)Originally posted by TenHut View PostLower octane fuel has impurities like sand grains in it. LOL! I didn't know about that until the recent engine service. The mechanic never explained how the insides of it get larger in size.So Speed fuel is good to go for bikes like ninja 650 and karizma right? (Mentioned ninja just to stay On topic :P ) One should never ever use the "normal fuel",unless he wants that extra cubic power?Originally posted by TenHut View PostMukkul, you don't want more CCs ?

No more incentives for you this year...
Use it for a LOT longer and you'll have a free flow engine!Originally posted by TenHut View PostLower octane fuel has impurities like sand grains in it. Increase in frustration is the only thing that comes to mind.Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostKoshun: if the cubic capacity increases, would it mean increase in compression or decrease in compression
Anyway...looks like bikes are getting allocated and that is the important thing.
We already have the owner of possibly the FIRST 650R in India as a member on the Facebook group. Search for "India Kawasaki Ninja 650R Owners Group" on Facebook and ask to be added. At this time only those who have booked the 650R will be added to the group.
Happy Waiting

I want I want! But what happens to the sand, do they melt to form marbles or something! I dont want to hurt the person riding behind using the enlarged cubic capacity powered pelet launcher!Originally posted by TenHut View PostMukkul, you don't want more CCs ?
Guru! Seriously man! The effin agreement says 120-150 days atleast! Thats like an insane amount of waiting! I hope I dont get bored of waiting!
