Very nice review and pretty much balanced. It would be really good if some test numbers like acceleration,in gear rollons & efficiency are added too.
More choice for the performance oriented / fuel conscious buyer.

      @Sunny: congrats on the GT650R.
The all Red one is my favourite colour option too.

      i found these online.

i don't know how accurate these are too.

i've ridden the GT650R... and i've only sat on the N650R...
and while the is a big difference in the riding position...
the N650R riding position was definitely more than 6 degrees.

Xionite ... As far as is remember there are few parameters to be configures on this site like inseam etc. ( dont remember all ). This angle can be different for differently built people in my opinion. For e.g. for shorter people the lean may be more. For heighted people the lean may be less .....

Although this I am telling from what I once observed and understood from that site.

            @ Sunny,
Remember reading about the GT review in one of the auto magazines, feedback was provided that the mill would vibrate post 6K RPM. Is that true? Did you feel any vibrations on the handle bar or the seat?

Nice Review and Photos are really good whats the camera kit and editing software used

The seating position looks ok to me on the GT650R. As for the Ninja, it has a lot to do with the height of the rider. Shorter riders will be sitting upright, while taller riders will have to crouch a little. The picture depicts the person almost kissing the tank, which generally doesn't happen. My guess is it's going to 15 to 18 degrees for the Ninja.

Now THAT is a Awesome comparo! To the point and perfect.

Just one small gripe, the comparison in specs still isnt well done.
For Eg; The Ground clearance, one uses the usual mm terminology, and the other uses the inches,
The tank capacitym one uses Litres, and the other uses gallons.... these may seem small things, but they do matter a lot atleast for the serious prospects

Nice review, but I still can't find the info I need anywhere in this review:

                          1. Headlights, which one has brighter and how do they compare in beam spread?

                          2. Their capability for stunts, PowerWheelie and Stoppie for example.

                          3. The brakes of this N650R (the one with the BYE 411/A number) are constantly termed as worse than not only GT, but N250R too. Bigger Ninja with 2 discs, having worse brakes than smaller Ninja with one disc? How can this be?
Please clarify whether its an issue with this particular unit only, or all the bikes.

                          4. What about the low end torque? Minimum speeds at 5th and 6th gears?
I'm constantly asking for these things in every review, but I never see them. Maybe other sites have them, but why can't I get that info from reliable sites like Xbhp?

I wished I could have had a test ride, but for that too, I have to travel 130 kms to Jaipur. I wish the reviews were lot more detailed, although writing & language creativity is much appreciated.

One more thing, the spec sheet is full of errors, like comparison between Ground Clearance in different units (145mm and 6.5 inch??) and seat height (6.5 inch for GT?) Brakes and Fuel Capacity are in different units too.

^^ ya you are true, more details are required and when comparing the units on both the spec sheet should be same.

neverthless, nice review..........and very good pictures.

even i would like to know about lights etc..

and if possible 0-60, 0-100 kmph timimgs along with top speed and mileage info....

My experience of riding the bike on Mumbai roads was not pleasant. With tight traffic around the bike engine gets heated a lot which is transferred to the tank and chassis.Which gives a heated feeling at your thighs.

Most of my riding was done at 5,000 rpm at which no vibration were left.Did a speed of 150kmph though.

Not exactly. I'm 5'11'' and the sitting posture for me is completely upright very similar to a Karizma (Can't comment on the angle though)

GT has projectors so fares a little better in this department

None of us tried it intentionally so can't comment. But yes I did wheelie on Ninja 650 couple of times (1st and/or 2nd gear) when I was riding it.

Ninja 250 has the best brakes among the three even with a single disc setup. We haven't ridden any other N650 so can't comment on the braking other than the one tested for this comparo.

I haven't checked it personally but was riding at 60-70 easily on the both the bikes at top gear. N650 can be ridden in 3rd gear in peak city traffic without any problem, can't comment on GT as I haven't ridden one in city.
