Any kind of stunting will put quite a bit of strain on a bike. Land hard from a wheelie and you can have busted fork seals and even a bent rim, damaged forks, shocks etc. Fall while executing these stunts and the damage might be even more.Originally posted by captain koli View Post^^
hey a quick fact doing a wheely or stoppy puts less strain on bike than doin a burnout
where you strain the engine ,tire ,brakes etc...
Burnouts will lead to excessive strain on the clutch, not to mention the tire too.ATGATT - Because hospital ceilings are boring !!!

Congratulations Sunny!!
When is the delivery expected?
@All: 145 mm = 5.7 inches
and 6.5 inches = 165 mm
OT: The N250R does look the best among the three
You are right. Ninja 250 better among the three.

Could you tell me what is the speed in 1st gear at 5k rpm, 2nd gear in 5k rpm, 3rd in 5k rpm and so on. This will help us have a better understanding. Your inputs on this will be really appreciated.Originally posted by melroyal View PostHi praveen. Not taken it yet to 7,000rpm most of the power delivery comes at 5,000rpm.

don;t know mate ..never ridden any superbikes ... but ..few of yamaha machanics who service the superbikes always says .. in traffic it will toast ur legs .. once they showed me how much heat the engine generates ..after a short ride of R1 .. although i never ridden .. after the bikes stopped .. i have just placed my hand a feet away from the faring [side] slots .. and it literally fries ... u can boil a cup of tea with that much heatOriginally posted by princesirohi View Posthey guys, as you were saying earlier that bigger bikes do heat up a lot at slow speeds in traffic because radiator fan remains off.
can you tell how slow is "slow speed".??

slow speeds can be as "slow" as 50-70kmph too.Originally posted by princesirohi View Posthey guys, as you were saying earlier that bigger bikes do heat up a lot at slow speeds in traffic because radiator fan remains off.

but the bike will just heat up a lot then. still bearable.
it usually gets really bad in any kinda traffic where u have to stay in 1st/2nd gear.
i'm not talking about the GT650R or the N650R here.
(i've only ridden the GT650R on open roads & i haven't ridden the N650R yet).

thats quite a lot of heat you are saying..Originally posted by nagoo View Postdon;t know mate ..never ridden any superbikes ... but ..few of yamaha machanics who service the superbikes always says .. in traffic it will toast ur legs .. once they showed me how much heat the engine generates ..after a short ride of R1 .. although i never ridden .. after the bikes stopped .. i have just placed my hand a feet away from the faring [side] slots .. and it literally fries ... u can boil a cup of tea with that much heat
that means to keep them happy, we have to keep them above 100 kmph always, or most of the time, very difficult in indian conditions..Originally posted by xionite View Postslow speeds can be as "slow" as 50-70kmph too.

that means we can't commute to office on them or do lazy riding l..
can someone tell how much heat a N650R generates at slow speeds, coz if that also generates so much heat, how can we call it a tourer if it will toast our legs in slow speeds, which is inevitable and unavoidable in touring.
if we are riding slowly for a long time and heat builds up a lot, won't the radiator fan kick in after the heat is increased beyond a point.
and does this happen only with fully faired bikes or with naked bikes also.
what about accomplished tourers like from BMW and what about harley davidson, or is it that problem is less severe in these bikes because of open engine.

the heat generated by a parallel-twin is nowhere as severe as an inline-four.Originally posted by xionite View Posti'm not talking about the GT650R or the N650R here.

i've ridden alongside a (naked) FZ1 that ran about 8 degrees hotter than a (fully faired) CBR954RR.Originally posted by princesirohi View Postand does this happen only with fully faired bikes or with naked bikes also..

Princessirohi, heating no matter how bad never renders your bike unrideable. Amongst all the faired bikes of year 2011 the yamaha R1 heats up the most and even that can be taken to office everyday through traffic. So it's gonna heat up..so what..clearly it cannot kill you...so don't worry so much..the Ninja650r can be taken thru the thickest of Indian traffic and so can the GT be. When ppl say they can "toast" an omlette or boil a kettle of tea or detonate already cascading global warming they are merely being expressive.
Don't let the heating get in your way of fun...cause it really isn't that big a problem...just takes getting used to.sigpic
when i ride bullet before my bullet was solid condition but i once race with a Ceilo car and my engine size. mechancic say bullet is good bike but no racing. it is good for three people and very powerful.
one day when i become rich i but ducati and then I race with cars. not now.
kamlesh kandaNO PACE TOO SLOW
IF you're at all going to be a respectable rider one day, leave your pride at the "door."
