    Hell no !

The first mod I will do on these super fast bikes for our road conditions is install an aftermarket steering damper though. Safe is safe !

Am assuming you're referring to the GT? Not sure if it can be done on the 650R or even if it requires it in the first place!

A steering damper mod can be done on any bike. You could have one on an RTR 160 too( I have indeed seen it on one)
I was talking about both Ninja and GT here. Both are equally fast..steering damper ain't a must..I was saying instead of wanting a slipper clutch it's wiser to want a steering damper. Not saying the bikes are unsafe without them but they will be a lot safer WITH them.

Chuck all that...buy either one of those and ride them...really.

Even if the ZX6R was launched I wouldn't be able to afford it(Gonna be a min of 2 laks more which I dont think I can).

Even though you cannot directly compare a super-sport to the GT, yet a super-sport style of bike with good power/affordable/not so difficult to maintain(like the I4s) is the GT.

And you say that this bike cannot crunch miles? Heard about the Great Australian Road-Trip by XBHP?

BTW, I am not a big mile cruncher. I drive mostly in and around the city with occasional tour and planning for track(as of now). Thats all.
Hey, hey, hey, don't get me wrong here, man. You like the super-sport styling of the GT, no problems there. The bike IS superb, no doubts about it. And I have no doubts either about its ability to cover long distances. Just that, compared to the N, it may seem less attractive for touring due to the stance of the rider, that's all!

And NICE to know that despite not being a rich kid, you are still going for the GT. My son loved it, specially the orange version but sadly, I cannot afford it or the N yet.

I too had initial hiccups.riding the CBR for 1500 kms for past 3 days I am not gettng killed & the pain has reduced to the usual one of munching many miles on any motorcycle.
will post a detailed review too in ownership thread after coming back.
I suppose you are right there.

I am planning for a Gujarat trip in Nov/Dec when the rains are gone and the temp is down. You checked my writeup in the Tourer section? That is EXACTLY what happened to me. Fortunately, the seat is more spacious so one can wiggle about else it would have been bad. Still, I do plan to increase the height of the clip-ons or substitute them with a standard curved bar. Some complex work that but will have to bite the bullet some day...

From what I understand, you can't install an after-market slipper clutch.

No clue.... Just hoping for the best.

Apparently Mumbai got its first allocation already but I've been hearing rumors that bikes are in short supply - hoping these are just rumors.
