- Scratches light ones (no repair)

- 10 days of wait and 40 calls to hyosung to get that repaired.
I hope you got the idea of maintenance. After bike got damaged, i had to take help of almost 8-10 people to be towed it to my home, using a loading tempo.
So an advice to all GT 650R owners , do anything, handle damn carefully this bike otherwise a single fall, will put you in worst situation like this. Getting towing service from the Hysoung in other cities, where they don't have service centers, is pretty tough and time taking, including service cost and towing cost.______________________________________

Firstly, only the GT is a V-Twin engine, Ninja is a parallel twin.
Secondly, 600cc's are not illegal by any law.
Bikes above 800cc can be imported and sold without homologation.
Bikes below 800cc have to be homologated and then launched, which makes it a costly affair, which explains why Yamaha and Honda didn't bring their 600's so far.
But you never know when the times will change...

for summery ... any displacement of engine less than 800CC needs approval from Govt body responsible for automotive in india its called ARAI of something [correct me] and for that there is a process [homologonization something like that ] by which it is necessary to prove that each and every components of vehicle complies to Indian standards,.. then only they will approve for production ... and its time consuming and costly affair ... so bottom line is - Ninja and GT both went through these process .. and hence playing on road ..

Also, I would like to add that during homologation process, GT was changed in the following manner:
1. The engine was detuned by a new ECU to match Indian emission regulations, so now it makes some 72.4 PS power, compared to 80 PS abroad.
2. It's horn is an Indian one, because the Korean one was not approved by ARAI.
As far as I know, Ninja 650 got no such changes I'm aware of.---

Uhh loss of 7.6 PS. But i am ok with it. coming to GT or N .. for us 30+PS is more than enough at any given point of time ... if 30+PS bike does 150+kmph speed easily .. do u really need anything more than that .... everything else is like reserve power which u can say have it ..but never uses it .. it always will be in reserve

It is not that it reaches 150+ KMPH, but also HOW it reaches there.. 30PS vs 70PS ;-) .. But the feeling of owning a 600+ CC bike is beyond compare... I am yet to experience that .. still waiting for the delivery.. booked mine last week... drooling over the pics that I clicked at the showroom till then, and doing research on the riding gear... the wait seems endless...

I am the one who like to blow horn a lot, whether its a car or bike. I believe we need to alert people, who really don't know which one is overtaking lane, how to take turns, where to use indicators or not to walk in the middle of road. But from the time i got GT, i try to avoid blowing horn at even worst conditions. It "beeep" or "meow", makes all the effect of big bike blow away within a moment and i just hate it.
