by the way guys if u want to go by brand.. its up to u.. if u want to feel real sporty adventure try GT650 R honestly..
Is it me who is saying this?

Its a quote from an editorial. I am flummoxed as to why no test bikes are available to the media and hence whatever snippets could be found is posted here as this thread is actually comparing them.

Want to read another review First Ride: Hyosung GT650R EFi Page - 1 Zigwheels

    • But for someone who likes pure no-nonsense thrill and excitement, the GT650R brings a lot to the table.

On Breaking/Control: As the tightening corner looms up ahead, I brake hard and expect something dramatic to occur, but the Hyosung GT650R shows no signs of upsetting behaviour or jittery nature.

model to perform and nothing short of its Japanese or European V-twin rivals.

FYI.. Ninja 650R for India is made in Thailand not Japan.. it is different in each country.
HY GT650 R is same across the entire universe.

Surprising facts now: magazine reviews will be based more on the relationship with the company than the actual bike performance..

someone have to sit on both the bikes and take the decision personally.. tis is wat i feel nd i believe..

Brother, ask the dealer to arrange a TD for you and take the bike in traffic and believe me, you will taken aback by surprise by how easily the bike handles itself. Ride her and you can't say that she is a 244 kilo bike from any angle.

Mark my words that the company is really serious about staying here long term and are even willing to go to the extent to provide door-step service to its customer....

+1 Million on how easy and light the ST7 is to ride. But, the issue you will face in the city is that you will have to manage it like A car with Power steering. It will take lots of space on the road and parking space due to its long wheelbase and wide handlebars. But this in no way means that the bike is hard to ride / handle. I would rather classify it as "Extremely easy to ride". The ST7 is really a TOP product.

          Happy to hear.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Parking Space...no doubt, she needs as much space as a car

The Ninja is not different in each country because all Ninjas get produced at Thailand. Even those which get exported to US

Boy, you hit the nail on its head. Yet no road-test either on print or electronic media.

                      • visually (in terms of quality)... the N650R scores over the GT650R.

the GT650R scores some major negatives as far as fit n finish go.

even tho... in my opinion... i prefer the overall look of the GT650R.

na! only the US and Indian ones are actual Ninjas.

the ones sent to the "rest of the universe" are just normal 650 bikes.

Kawasaki didn't even bother naming the bike... just numbered it.

                        • I would never have imagined Sunny booking a GT650. Always thought you would get one of the well established names.
Congrats man, for being different. Seems like a good over all bike.
thanks for the through report on after market support.

                            • After riding the GT for two weeks, this is what I have to say:

The GT styling is fantastic, you are gonna have lot of stares at you.It has a slight lean forward position but it's comfortable.Riding the bike below 40kmph is gonna be a pain as it tends to feel heavier in handling.
Max speed I have done is 160kmph at 6,000rpm and no vibes were felt.As all fared sports bikes there is heat felt while riding but I have experienced this only when I was in congested city traffic.
The bike is a absolute fun to ride. You twist the throttle a bit and your are easily doing speeds over 100kmph.Fuel efficiency is 17kmpl.

Could you be more specific, please.

And yes, the thread title says VS

Your love for the GT is pretty understandable once I came across this -

Higher capacity Motorcycles being launched is a good news for us, the Motorcyclists. Lets welcome them and yes, thanks to the competiton you can choose and hope others ('zook, Yamaha, Honda) too launch affordable, practical Motorcycles. Daytona too is heading for our shores soon.

Nice to see you Mel, enjoying the GT. Please keep on updating the ownership.
