Why such a flurry of questions...

It would really depend on what your looking to use it for....the Honda CBR250r and the KTM 200 Duke both have their USPs but just like you i had wanted ONE of those bikes but i feel the CBR250r is something We can expect from a lot of manufacturers these days you know, the full fairing setup, sports bike looks, but I've come to outgrow that and am very inspired by pure performance and brutal naked styling now, it just seems more mechanical!!! And to be honest theres a lot of tech in the KTM 200 Duke, and they have a lot of experience in making enduro engines and in a country like India you really need something from that lineage, a dirt bike engine mated to a street body...perfect for the city!!! The Honda CBR250r is a class of its own its affordable for the styling and the performance it gives but it somehow just doesnt make me go WOW when i look at it :-/ hope that helps you!!!Speed, it seems to me, provides the one genuinely modern pleasure.

Worries about exhaust
The mass centralization done with silencer is superb. But only concern is , how good will it prove to be in waterlogged streets of India during rainy season.Though this will be rare for many, but still those raised exhausts have helped.
Secondly how easy/difficult will it be to use saddle bags on this?
Safety doesn't happen by accident.....ride safe ride longer

+1. Even I have somehow cultivated like and respect for naked bikes these days. They suit me wellOriginally posted by joshzma225 View PostWe can expect from a lot of manufacturers these days you know, the full fairing setup, sports bike looks, but I've come to outgrow that and am very inspired by pure performance and brutal naked styling now, it just seems more mechanical!!!
Is my concern too. Is the ground clearance enough to keep the water from entering the silencer? Mumbai is infamous for its flooded streets during monsoon, hence my worry !Originally posted by m@v View PostThe mass centralization done with silencer is superb. But only concern is , how good will it prove to be in waterlogged streets of India during rainy season.Though this will be rare for many, but still those raised exhausts have helped.

Inder ji - How many PBK showrooms are there in your city? Bangalore has only 1 (unless I am thoroughly mistaken). The other PBK outlet (in Banashankari) deals only in service, no sales.Originally posted by inder.cool View PostNot all showrooms would be converted to orange to sell KTM. Just visited the Probiking Showroom at Bhandup West, Mumbai ... Though they have painted the showroom's hoarding orange and pasted a life size sticker of ktm duke 200 (front view) at the entrance, the overall look lacked orange flavor ... I guess they are still in the process of orangifying themselves ... Anyways the showroom guys appeared dull and there was not a single customer inside ... I asked him about KTM 200 and he said bookings have not yet started .... according to him they may start early next year and the price won't be beyond 1.5L ... When asked about warranty he said its yet to be disclosed ... Regarding after sales service he said Ghatkopar service station would be used ... The brochures are yet to arrive and so is the test drive model ... Finally while leaving he asked me to check out the bike's review on xBhp.com ... I was like

I guess this has been addressed before. How to keep water from entering silencer - Do not stall the engine!Originally posted by Rony View Post

Remember Chetaks/Bajaj Supers/Bajaj 150's all had silencers very low?
Test drive? Are you sure there will be a test drive model? Which I seriously doubt! At least not at the beginning. There sure would be a mad rush when this hits the showroom. Serious buyers, passers by, people really wanting to check out the bike (who already own premium class bikes/sbks etc) will be thronging the stores.Originally posted by Rony View Postso is the test drive model ...
