Wait. What?Originally posted by MG View PostThe figures were provided by Bajaj guys along the graphs that you see in the first post.
Bajaj gives out the figures for the CBR aswell?
I thought you guys tested those figures yourselves.
Another selling strategy by Bajaj i guess.
Nice writeup and photography though. I see few ugly weld spots on the frame(below the Speed heading)?
Looking at how the accessories are priced, especially the rear seat cowl at 11k, im seriously doubting the bike being under 1.2lakhs now
Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

.Originally posted by Samarth 619 View Post1. You said the rev limiter is at 10,000 rpm. Elsewhere I read that this bike makes 25~ bhp @ 10,000 rpm only but its not mentioned here.
And in this review you also said the rpm light is configurable, with the figure showing 10,950 rpm, how is that possible with rev limiter stopping progress @ 10 krpm?
And, how can you exploit the maximum power properly, if its right on the rev limiter? Or are my facts wrong? Please correct..
Max power - 25ps@10,000rpm and the cut off also happens at the same speed.
Currently it is configurable but the final product might not see it or the cut off limit might change. Only time will tell
No the top speed claim is 135 so it will remain that way.Originally posted by Samarth 619 View Post2. You said it has a top end of 136 kmph (on speedo). Is it likely to be re-geared before its release so that it gets a more decent top end?
I guess we have already given answers to a whole lot of questions and will try to answer other questions as wellOriginally posted by Samarth 619 View Post3. What about the Question-Answer session with Bajaj-KTM officials? Did it happen and what were the Q-A's?
The prices are only indicative as mentioned in the post. The final prices will be differentOriginally posted by tanay View PostI don't know why, but the Powerparts (and possibly spares) have pricing at Ninja level.
Chain @ 6-7K
Handle Guards @ 4-5K
etc etc
Why so expensive when everything's manufactured in India?
Already answered this in my last postOriginally posted by chicane1879 View PostBut i have few queries regarding performance data, are those data(of CBR and R15) taken from your own tests or from any other source? AFAIK R15 hits 100 in around 13.5-14 seconds. Same thing for CBR which does in around 9.0-9.2 secs for the run till 100km/hr.
Read it properly. For other countries say Malaysia and all it will be RON95 while for India it will be 91 octane .Originally posted by kantu View PostGreat Review ! Tourer + 10 ltrs of tank that drinks 95 Octane ? Its more of a track / city bike isnt it ? 2011 ended well
with lot of good bikes coming in. Lots of choices in 0-1000cc+

I will get very blunt here.Originally posted by Nithesh View Postim seriously doubting the bike being under 1.2lakhs now
If a bike with average quality like CBR costs 1.6lakh with nothing exceptional on offer then this bike can easily be priced almost at the same level. So anything lesser than that is very good price according to me.
^No hard feeling to any CBR250 owners. This is my personal grudge against Honda

Is this a subtle hint that it could be priced very closely to the CBR? say 1.55L?Originally posted by MG View PostI will get very blunt here.

Fantastic review. Good job there!!!
As mentioned anything below or at par with cbr is a very good price the kind of engineering and quality is on offer. Couple that with good after sales and this could take a large pie of market share in performance segment.Imperfect human knowledge may be a bumpy, pot-holed street but its the only road to wisdom worth taking . . .

I am still kinda dissappointed with the 0 -100 kmph figures, I expected them to be in the 8.xx range. The power to weight ratio and the short gearing should have helped it acheive that. I would take the CBR 0 to 100 kmph with a pinch of salt, that is the slowest 0 to 100 kmph I have read for the CBR across all reviews and this figure has come from Bajaj

Nice Job Mg and Sunny.
so WHAT IS NEXT ?
Mr Bajaj,
Bore this out to 250 and bring on the 30hp single called p250
eh, Now that will drop R15 from comparison charts
(Sorry but games should change)
Oh can I see that pulsar fighting with cousin ? (yeah N250)
CBR seems to be no good for next flagship pulsar
