Really awesome pics... Thanks MG and Sunny.
    You guys simply rock!

I read somewhere in the review that the FE was 30 kmpl and with a tank capacity of 10.5 lts, you get a 300 km range....
It's there in the review bro!!!
    Simply, KTM is AWESOME!!!
    Plus, 690 looks hot!

      • Just in - Some Clarification on the peak power and rev limiter
The vehicle given for testing is still under calibration and the final product that will hit the market will have its rev limiter somewhere around the 11k mark. So the peak power will come at 10k while the rev limiter will kick in somewhere around 11k rpm.

            Absolutely Sunny,

Even CL 500 with its 13.5 lts tank has a range just of 350kms only...
So , even if this machine will be used for touring purpose, than it has a range of around 300kms which by far any standard good, if not best...
But Look at the power, weight, acceleration and cruising capabilities at 100km/hr all day long...
            wow, iam just loving this....
desperately waiting for its elder sibling called Duke 350 as i already have RE Electra 5S, so want a bit more power than Duke 200....

            • That might just be the best review I've read anywhere! As my manager would say... "Good job!" + *solid thump on the back*

                • pulled up for speeding?

I know the cops' speed guns dont work....

Can the cops pull us up for speeding on looking at the average speed readout on the meter?

Is this legal for a cop to do?

                  • No matter what the automative companies do, they still don't satisfy the customers..always cribbing(and for no reason too) .. guess people don't grow up after all

Anyways, the review is just superb and top quality stuff in that..from the bike's pics to bike's all round characteristics..!

I'm just really this bike came up

So that means a better top speed... Just the news that is gonna tilt the scale totally on the bikes favour. I hope the competition pull their socks up and get back to drawing board and bring out something as inspiring as this one.

                      • I have been an Xbhp member since a very long time, June 2004 to be precise. Havent seen anything quite like this. With biking going to the next level with the K200, the review is of a very high order to compliment the bike.
                        Great job done.

So that takes the theoretical top speed up to 148/149. Good enough? Yes.

But still, an extremely good 'street' bike. P220 will have to stay. Not that we would be touring all day 4-6 lane highways. But a higher cruise speed does help when you need the bike to go to the next awesome ghat in the least possible time and effort.

What I will readily trade my P220 with is a 250/300cc version of this:

                          Adventure R
                          OR This

                          Supermoto T

Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

It has a characteristic KTM note, i.e sounds like a (refined)free flow exhaust found on Indian bikes.

Though not deliberately mentioned the clue lies here...

but for India they apparently did some fuel mapping changes
