Its not even a year since ABS has been introduced in bikes in India. It might be an essential for some one getting their first bike but shouldn't be a deal breaker for folks who ride up and down the city every day. I have used my brothers CBR 250 R and i dint see the ABS being deployed even at 60 KPH with hard breaking. Anyways its just my thoughts on ABS. -

Secondly - the "16" is not the absolute mileage. It could have been "16" so far. Just like in the cars, half way through if you were to check the average FE it could show a figure that could cause a mild heart attack. But once a whole tankful of fuel has been consumed, thats when the real average can be known.
Am sure Bajaj folks aren't that brainless to release a bike in the market whose FE is close to the SBK's
It sure would be in the range of 30 kmpl - a few kmpl this way/that way.
Don't kill me for the 16-20!

Think about this...20 Kmpl with 11L tank, add to that its a FI & should have atleast 2 lts in reserve, that makes 9 X 20 = 180 Kms range. Is that all a modern day bike will have??? Even the humble old Rx had 10L tank with 1 lt reserve with 35 Kmpl with a range nothing less than 280-300 Kms, which is what every bike manufacturer targets.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

If I were to be using a bike and then claiming falsely, you could call it false claim. The bike is yet to hit the Indian roads. Till then we could all go speculating the way we want. Free country you know I would even say Hey you know what - I got to know from one closeeee source withing BAL that the FE is around 40. price is around 1.3 lakhs for sure etc etc and what not!
You are one different threads too - so you know very well how the speculating world goes!
Surprised that people are willing to lap up anything that is put out.
Sorry gentlemen - I have no confirmed knowledge about the Duke's FE! Nor does anybody else out here.
