You are only one of few ppl in this forum who have got "real" love for this bike. Your effort will be paid off

The tyres play a bigger role in all such situations in the overall sense...

The biggest problem for the Pulsar 200 NS is the TVS Eurogrip tyres!! I dont know whether it would be standard on it... I hope not...

Anyways the whole debate was for to take things in the right perspective.. dont take it personally as that was not my intention..

Dude Bajaj will not have anything on their bikes named TVS and for ABS go through videos of various media personals who tested the bikes, Its a life saver in panic situations.

abs could be life saver, the thing is in normal situation we may master the art of braking but during panic situation we tend to forget the proper technique.
its true abs is more effective on wet tarmac than gravel road, but it sure is more effective than manual braking.

He was the one who gave me his personal comment saying that the bike doesnt really work that greatt with ABS!!

I have had a Karizma 2005 model and have travelled extensively on wet roads and rain at speeds such like 80 and 100 comfortably without any worries for years!! what are you speaking off falling down above 60!! without ABS...

Get 1 experienced rider here who will agree with your point...

I mean to say that you can stop your bike specially in wet conditions at a speed of over 60 but if by any chance you have to apply sudden brakes at that speed you will for sure skid and have a fall (that what i think and observed on my P150), but in case of a ABS one at least you would be able to manoeuvre your bike safely to a stop.

What non sense is this!! Its all a myth... ABS does work in providing a little more safety by not locking up thats it!! it doesnt do anything more...

Remember safer and grippier tyres and the surface plays a big role than the brakes and ABS!!

I have seen very successful all terrain bikers with only drums front and back!!

Given your choice of bikes chose Pulsar 200 NS as it beats R15 in value for money and RTR with a much better overall product!!

    Happy Riding :-)

And please don't expect Bajaj to announce the price within hours of declaration of the budget. Give the busy people some time

I know its hard.. but then its better to have some patience (for a few weeks/months) rather than regret for a couple of years.

And its pretty evident that Bajaj hasn't opened any booking window and the dealers are going their own gala way and taking up bookings. Booking amounts ranging from Rs.2k to Rs.1 lac (even I booked fr Rs.10k ) - some being refundable and others non refundable - are quite the proof.
Further, it will be a wise decision not to go and enquire at a Probiking Store because now they are KTM Stores and will be selling Ninjas and KTMs and other upcoming (guessing ) bikes. So why will they entertain your queries since they don't have any business with you (and that is why some of them try to sway you to buy the D200)!!
And as I had mentioned in an earlier post...wait for the Union Budget '12! Bajaj will mostly price the bike once it is aware of the tax implications on its product otherwise it might lose a prospective customer if the taxes are hiked.
So be patient because something which takes time to brew, eventually turns out to be the best ...sabar ka phal meetha hota hai

hi guys, i was seeing lot of posts on FI , exhaust and cost...actually ppl wer stating FI is costly, u dont need the same exhuast as carb version etc..etc..

so i thought i will share something from my horizon of work.
FI is not as costly as u think. 15k premium that bajaj charged for p200fi was just making the hay while was shining. they just put in a fi(delfi is much cheaper than bosch or continetal FI) and for the name of fi they charged 15k which wud have actually cost them less than 1000rps.
what i will say here is the cost impact for the company to go from mechanical engine to CRDE engine in case of a diesel engine is only 5000rps(i am telling low cost).i cannot state which engine and other details bcoz i cannot share company details or secrets outside..:P

next thing is FI is better in terms of emissions bcoz of the better control over the combustion. but a company will have only one exhaust system for fi and carb version bcoz it will be cheaper to have a single variant of exhaust developed rather than going for 2 versions. always a company thinks about parts commonisation rather than having many parts.

    hope this post was usefulll.
