On a scooter, yes. On a motorbike, not so much. Opening and re-fitting the seat isn't as easy as it is on a scooter.

Please explain how can a miscreant drain the battery/cause fire? I assume that these OEM solutions aren't directly connected to the battery and have better connections. They should power the USB only when the bike is turned on, isn't it? Or is it not the case?
    Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Yes, you are right Divya Sharan, USB outlet won't be any problem as the current is too small, I confused with the Lighter / heater outlet like cars.

Heard yesterday from my Service Centre guy that the new Apache has come in Siddivinayak Motors, Goregaon, Mumbai. He was saying it is a FI model (which I doubt). Anyone staying in Goregaon can confirm?

Checked with the dealer. The rate of carb version has reached to them and they are taking the booking of the same.. no idea of FI / abs one yet.

Gosh you should have been in Mumbai, went to matrix TVS for booking.. He is asking 10k premium for delivery within 1 month. Else wait for 3 or 4 month for the same.

I would like to know about the reviews of the bike and is it really worth it as compared to CB Hornet 160 R?

ABS will be plug and play. Even the carb versions can later on get installed with it.

                          Hey guys,
I had been to Ashwa TVS in Bangalore yesterday.
They have received 45 units of Apache rtr 200's. All are carburetor versions.
White, grey and black are available.
Other colors will demand a waiting period of 15 days itseems.

                          No clue about FI-ABS.
I asked about retro fitting the ABS on to Carb variant, they told its not possible. (Maybe they do not have much idea)

The on road price is 1,09,000 INR for Carb, Remora tyres and 1,15,000 INR for Carb, Pirelli tyres.
It includes all accessories and 5 years extended warranty.

I have already seen two bikes on road in bangalore.

They had no idea about the launch, price of the other variants. Only Carb version with both Tyre options was there. 1.09L OTR and white and grey immediate delivery.

You might have met my other friend who took a test ride at around 5:40 PM OR 6:10 PM
