The delay in India because TVS is busy launching the RTR 200 in other markets like Indonesia, Columbia etc. Now you know where all the eFI ABS bikes are going. Looks like even those markets have stricter emission and safety norms than India. TVS knows that here if we dont get eFI people will still go for carb and until BSIV comes in 2017 they can still sell carb version until then.

I had been to both Bharath TVS and Ashwa TVS dealers in Bangalore on Thursday.Originally posted by rakeshchn View PostThe delay in India because TVS is busy launching the RTR 200 in other markets like Indonesia, Columbia etc. Now you know where all the eFI ABS bikes are going. Both told that there are changes being done to the bike and will be launched later with the upgrades.
Both told that they have stopped taking bookings for RTR 200 CARB.
Now, it makes me believe the previous posts which mention that there are some changes being done.
Let's hope TVS launches the upgraded bike soon.

Re: TVS Apache RTR200 4V: First Impressions
I believe TVS already missed a great opportunity by not starting to sell RTR 200 in Jan or Feb to fill the void in market created by Bajaj stopping production of NS 200. Now CS400 is almost at the doorstep and may be a revised version of NS 200 is also on the cards.sigpicOm Yamahaya Namaha...praise the lord!

Do you own bike?Originally posted by JS16 View PostRecent updates.
For those smart people sitting at Overdrive/Autocar's office thinking KYB is not smart enough to not provide an adjustable rear suspension.
Also gets mobile charging point.
Shift light adjuster.

Re: TVS Apache RTR200 4V: First Impressions
Which is actually a pointless place to have a charging point. No one is going to go to the trouble of removing their seat to charge a phone!
With how inconveniently it has been placed, i would rather mount an aftermarket on the bar for touring, or just carry a couple of powerbanks.Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

True. But if I'm not wrong there is also an extension power wire provided for aftermarket chargers. The rear seats get new tray storage underneath too.Originally posted by The Monk View PostWhich is actually a pointless place to have a charging point. I didn't quite understand what you are saying. Clarification sought!Originally posted by JS16 View PostTrue. But if I'm not wrong there is also an extension power wire provided for aftermarket chargers. The rear seats get new tray storage underneath too.
You are suggesting that aftermarkets provide extension power wire with the charging point?
or
You get an extension wire as an aftermarket for the stock charging point?
Either ways, stock, this charging point is not practical. One needs some aftermarket 'jugaad' to make is usable. And that defeats it as a USP!Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Let me put it this way.
The USB port is for mobile charging. Along with it, there is also a wire which has a blocked end to fit after market accessories (Chargers).
Just an extension in simple words.
