[QUOTE=TheArcher84;1180805]When my wife saw my CL500, her first comment was about the tank...

It looks a pregnant cow's belly...I was life WTF???

    hi brother,

Lol.... Women always think from a different perspective. We can never argue with them. My girlfriend hated the KTM RC-390 rear end, when she saw it for
the first time. She asked -- would you like any girl with her ass held up so high ? In my heart, I said-- ABSOLEUTLY.

But on the outside, I told her-- NO.

    Cheers.....

The she started commenting/saying about the wheel spoke... I wonder why people waste such time in putting in these things...it looks like a mess, you better change it like the one in FZ..that looks much better...

I was fuming inside and smiling...and replied back...No point in blowing horn in deaf persons ears

[QUOTE=jeevan.chaukar;1180655]Well, I have my share of funny comments from others about my bikes...

Back in 2001 - I purchased a 2nd hand (or was it 3rd? who cares!) RD 350. I spent hell of a money to really make it nice and it was one hell of a bike. When I took it to my office in Mumbai (I used to work in SEEPZ area at that time with TCS), one colleague asked - how many gears it has - I said 6! Most Indian bikes only had 4 back then - except CBZ. He then says - I once sat on a bike with 7 gears and it was an imported super bike...Well, I said great, why don't you sit as a pillion on my RD 350 for 2 minutes...

He said yes and sat with me as a pillion...In next 2 seconds he was screaming loudly asking the GOD to forgive all his sins but I should stop my bike and let him get off!! That was only 1st gear of RD 350!! After that day, he never uttered any words about any imported superbike and never dared to sit with me

Recently in 2012 when I bought Duke and also now in 2015 when I just bought my street triple - many are saying - what's the use of buying such a nice bike...where are the roads to go fast on those! While there is some amount of truth in that, their definition of FAST is too basic...Many are considering anything above 60-70 kmph as "FAST".

    hi brother,

I wonder, had your RD-350 been fully ported, what would have been your colleague's reaction. Imagine, you are riding your RD at 165 km/hr + and your colleague flying backwards in the air, screaming for mercy.

Most of the people in our country don't even have basic knowledge about bikes. They just say, what they hear from others, who unfortunately are even worse. And lots of them always boasts about their Rossi like skills in their youth and college days. Sometimes, its really annoying.

And many many congratulations on buying the triumph street triple. She is an amazing machine. Do share pics of your bikes.

    Cheers......

I said - ok, you think there are no roads here to go fast right? let's go for a very short ride - less than 1 km! One of the more daring guys says - ok - let's go...
There we go on my DUKE 200 - whaaaaaaaam! in 6-8 seconds we crossed 80 kmph already and the guy got a shock of his life - how can a small looking bike be so fast! Many people equate higher cc and higher power....They think BULLET is the epitome of power and style....because of 350-500 cc options and fatt-fatt sound! After experiencing DUKE, they could not believe it!

Similarly on Triumph - some are appreciating while some are saying - yaar itne me to Honda city aa jaayegi (one can get a Honda City for that amount) - well, I said I have actually already bought Honda City and that cost less because of being 2nd hand Then some people are actually calling me crazy!
But because now they already knew about my Duke, they are not saying anymore "where are the roads to go fast!" They are sure that if I was reaching 80 kmph on Duke then Street Triple would surely be faster on same road....

While waiting in a traffic signal, a car guy rolled his window down, seems he was driving a verna I guess...

asked me after looking at my 600i,

Boss, where do you do such modifications to the silencer, how did you make it into 2
what are those 4 pipes doing in the front..

After looking at the frame-sliders, what is that for, to keep your foot in case of water...

I was wondering...should I answer to him or not

    hi brother,

May be he wants to see, whether he can clean his ears with the KTM key as well, as some older people used to do with scooter keys.

    Cheers.....
