Re: Crazy comments u heard about bikes

Not even one month owning the KTM RC200 and i got these gems

    1.

    A friend at college
He: Kitna mileage hai?'( what's the mileage?)
    Me: 30-35Kmpl
He: Kya fayda itna mehenga leke, mera pulsar 60kmpl deta hai. ( whats the use of buying such an expensive bike, i get 60 on my pulsar)

    2.
An uncle who saw the bike parked at my place
He: Why did you pay 2L for a single seater bike. I literally burst into laughter

    3.
i once entered a road leading to the airport by mistake, where there was no entry for bikes and was pulled over by the airport staff, they told me bikes are not allowed and i said sorry and as my visor had smudges so i asked if i can wipe it real quick before leaving and they let me, while i was doing it they asked me
Kitne ki hai ? (how much is it?)
    I replied 1.9L
To which he said to his colleague
Ek baar nikal gayi to fir police bhi nai pakad sakti. ( Once it goes, even police can't catch it)
    I lol'd

    4.

When i parked her and a guy comes up to me and asks
Kitne ki hai ? (how much is it?)
    I replied 1.9L
He asked center stand hai kya? ( Does it have a center stand?)
I said no, its a sports bike.
He said main stand to dena cahiye na, sab bike me hota hai. ( they should prove a main stand, every bike has one)

    5. Not about my bike but about my helmet

So i was at my college and people started asking questions about my helmet.
One guy asks, How much did you get it for?
I said 5.6K to which he replies
Does it come with an AC?
Apparently people think investing 5-6k in a helmet is a waste, they prefer cheap roadside helmet to safety.

    6.

An acquaintance asking normal questions about the bike like cost, mileage, speed etc
    when suddenly he asks,
Can i see the KEY? I've never seen a KTM key in my life?
    I was like

    hi brothers,

Really funny thread. Loving every post in this thread.

This happened with me, when I got my Yamaha RX-135 fully ported in 2008. At that time, these modified silencers were not that common as they are today in 2015.
So, some people used to ask me after looking at the expansion chamber of my bike -- "bhai saahab, yeh dhuaan nikaalne ke liye hi hai na ?"
( sir, is this silencer for exhaust gases ? ) And I used to reply sometimes---"nahi yaar, rocket nikaalne ke liye". ( no, its for launching rockets ).

    Cheers.......

Female riders are unpredictable at best. They will drive slowly for one second, next thing you know they are doing 40 trying to stay ahead of you.

Many a times I have been in danger of an accident and most of the time it's because of the ladies. They brake so suddenly and without warning here comes an Activa and guess what? You're going to slam into her unless you apply the brakes wisely.

Another common thing with these ladies is that Stare that they give you even though it's their fault 90% of the time. 😯

I'm a new rider from Vadodara and own a 2013 TB350. The other day I was stuck up in a traffic jam. A man on a humble cd100 was standing beside me. I blipped the throttle a little bit and then the following conversation took place.

Cd100: yeh saare bullet diesel pe chalti hain to dhuua kyun naahi chhodti?
Me: ye diesel pe naahi petrol pe hi chalti hain.
Cd100: hoo hi naahi saktaa. Petrol engine aaur itnaa aawaaj?
And I was like dude it an Enfield. It should thump. I still can't figure out why I didn't bang his head? Moreover he was pronouncing bullet as 'boo-leat'. :banghead:

    My Ride - R15 V2.0

Crazy comments in the period of only 2 months of ownership:

    1. Took the bike for 1st free service a few weeks ago, a guy who had come to get his

gladiator serviced was looking at my bike closely. All of a sudden he asked me "Are Bhaiya,

is ka to gear paddle right side me hai, bullet ki tarah. (hey bro, the gear paddle on your

bike is on the right side, just like a bullet.)

The gear paddle and the brake paddle are almost similar looking.

    2. second guy came and asked "first free service hai?" (Is it first free service).

I said yes, then he asked "itni jaldi peeche ka tyre kaise ghis diya aapne? stunt karte ho

kya?" (How is your rear tyre without grip only after a month, do you perform stunts?")

    3. I was checking air pressure at the fuel pump, and an auto driver was waiting for his

turn, he came to me and asked "Kitne ki hai?"(how much does it cost?).
I replied 1.3 lakh. he asked "Itni mehngi hai to milage 80 - 90 ka deti hogi?" (Its so

expensive, so it might give you 80 - 90 Kms milage).

    4. And the most common and classic comments of all Indians after asking the price of an

    expensive bike:

Ye bike itni mehngi kyun hai, aisa kya hai isme?
(Why is this bike so expensive, whats so special about it?)

    And the award goes to:

"Itne me to NANO aa jaati, ye kyun lee?"
(You could have got a nano with that much money, why did you buy a bike?)

To that person who fell due to front car opening door on road.
You can file a case and get money.
My friend did same (he opened the door and a p180 crashed into it) .
He had to pay ₹60000 to come out of police mess.

    Banned twice in 6 months..
Now waiting for the third one..!!

@ Divyanshp150 life is funny some time bro,I was going to post my experience today but read your post and felt it's so similar to my experience of today's.
Anyway the incident was Funny(?) or not it's upto you people. Today being a Saturday I always have some customer meetings to do.At South Kolkata Balygunge Xing i was coming with my electra at 60+ speed cause signal just gone green and one Kind idiot on his I20 felt he have to throw his panmasala spit on road and opened his door and next thing I can recall his wobbling door and a broken RVM and I'm checking sky...and the driver want to act smart.Put my bike on center stand taken off my helmet(I'm having a crew cut hair with a handle bar mustache) limped to the driver grab him by his color and ask him to pay me!!!( ) cause u damaged my bike's color and my right side RVM gone.. and if you are not paying I'm taking you to standing Sergent of Kolkata Police( Who was just looking at the incident). People gathered by this time and all are up arms against the I20 driver "why you oppened the door on Xing and bullet guys are good guys and he is from Army we know(???) pay him now" etc etc.I20 driver suddenly felt he need to go some where and rushed off with his tangling RVM and then KP Sergent came asked me whether I'm OK etc, thanked him and I too pushed off from the SIN.

India is a country which highly inflexible, and highly illogical norms. They see hooligans riding bikes in movies and conclude that every guy who rides anything apart from a aam janta 100cc "bike" a hooligan. The problem of car vs bike is even worse. My mum's driver always keeps complaining that why are people wearing helmets because according to him helmet makes vision narrow and makes riders deff. He always keeps shouting that he will someday get a truck and run over every helmet wearing rider on the road.

The attitude of elders is no more matured than this guy. My friend's jijaji (brother-in-law), everytime he sees me wearing a helmet, he asks me "checking ho rahi hai kya?"(are the cops checking for helmet?) I politely replied one day that when you ride a bike you should wear a helmet for your sake because its your head, not the police department's. Then his wife, my friend's sister appeared and said "ye bohot tez gadi chalata hai na, isliye pehnta hai"(he rides very fast, thats why he wears a helmet). I felt offended and just rode off. Somehow wearing a helmet makes me a rash rider. However, jijaji, who cant even swing his leg properly on a cd-delux, because he was riding a chetak all his life, never touched 4th gear even in a scooter, cant even brake if his life depended on it, is a safe and responsible rider.:banghead::banghead:

kidding sad but crazy incidents there..n u did the right thing handling that moron the way u did!

Reminds me of the 'streets are filled with idiots' ad in which a guy opens his car door nearly making a biker crash with it. And in turn scolds the biker..

This post was also suitable in that thread..the streets are filled with idiots!

@Divyanshp150 ............. All that I can say after reading your post is "When stupid/idiot/bad guys won't leave their stupidity/idiocy/badness (just because they think they are good at it) then why should the sensible/reasonable/good guys should leave their sensibility/reasoning/goodness ?"

And the winds of change have arrived in India (thanks to xBhp), some will make walls of resistance while others will make windmills out of it
