One old man stopped me at a hotel where I go most of the time with my Pulsar 220.

He said - Baabu, apka bike toh pura aeroplane lagta hai aage se. ( Boy your bike looks like aeroplane from front.

    -------------

And some guys were saying iska toh headlight hi nahi mudta... (Headlight doesn't turns in this bike)

I said - Headlight toh car ka bhi nahi mudta. (Even cars can't turn their headlights)

    THey were speechless.

I stoppped my bike (Discover 100DTS-si) at a Signal on a busy main road, waiting for the green. When a 50yrs old man(approx age) on a Activa (stopped next to me) asked me -

Old man: What is your bike's mileage?
      Me: 60-65kmpl approx

      Old Man: Advertisement shows 100kmpl!
Me: It depends on many factors not just the bike/ad, how you ride, what type of roads etc etc

Old Man: You could have bought a pulsar, it has better mileage

Me: I just smiled at him

This incident happens to me on the release date of harry potter-7 in the hall parking, when two 20-22 yrs old guys are whispering about my unicorn saying that"waise honda shine bhi theek lagti hai".....those guys come on a spanking new glamour, so i looked at them and say in attitude that "bhai yeh shine nahi unicorn hai".....even then they are arguing me unnecessarily that no you are wrong......i left them, took the ticket and get inside the hall.To my surprise those two idiots have seats next to me and my friend seats,i was like.......shit man!!!.Then in one scene of the movie when during the flash back scene they are showing dumbledore....those two guys again whispered and said something that makes me and my friend laugh very very loud....they said that "abe lagta hai dumbledore phir se jinda ho gaya".

After hearing this i understand that "inka dimagi santulan hi bigada hua hai".

Hey buddies, I faced this incident recently!
Few days back, I met my uncle in the coffee shop where I used to go frequently. We drank coffee together and finally,
He asked me to drop him up to his home. I started the bike and asked him to sit in the bike. He sat in the bike and at the same time, he kept his both foot in my foot pegs!
I said, uncle will you please put your both foot back?
He said, "Don't worry, I am comfortable!"

I couldn't stop laughing for almost 20 seconds!

P.S. He rarely rides bike! I think its due to different riding posture in R15 than other normal bikes!

                    Just wanted to share this:
Some 5/6 days back, on my way back from office, I was stuck at the Red Signal (at E.M. Bipass - Sience City Xing, Kolkata) along with 6-7 more commuters. We were standing ahead of the 4 wheelers at the Stop Line.

Just then a Hayabusa (white) came from behind & stood infront of us - crossing the stop line. People started discussing about the bike & it's engine sound.

guy1 (in Pulsar 150 to his pillion): (doesn't know the name of the bike) says in bengali "this is the bike shown in DHOOM"
guy2 (in Splendor): "it sounds like aeroplane, because it has 2 gas pipes" he means dual exhaust.
guy3 (ols man in scooter): "must be very costly"
                    guy1: "more than 12 Lacks"
guy2: "What is the point in buying such bike in Kolkata - no good roads. At least 3 cars would have come in this price. just wastage of money "

The signal turns green & before we could hit the intersection ahead, the Busa crosses it & zooms away. Rest of the bikers (including me) crosses the intersection & again get stuck in a solid Trafic Jam & find the sexy Hayabusa once again. It was stuck as well.

Guy2 : "Even with 12 Lack worth bike, he is no faster than us" - pointing out at his own old, shattered Splendor - with pride

Rest of the bikers positioned themselves on either side of the Hayabusa to have a close view of the bike.

Guy3 : (old man in scooter): Now just beside the busa could not hold his curiousity any more + a disire to talk to a 12 lacks worth bike owner, "Hello, how much did it cost you?"
Busa guy: very surprised with the direct question, - gazed here & there - removed his helmet & after a moment finally replied. "it's around 15 after tax & insurance"
Guy3 : "You mean 15 Lacks?" very loudly.
                    the busa guy just noded.
Guy3 : very innocently "what mileage are you getting?"

Now, at this question, I (just behind the old man) could not resist myself any more & bursted into laughter (not at the old man - because he was simply idiot, but at the busa guy - thinking what he must be feeling at this question)

The busa guy (hearing my laughter) turned around at me - he looked quite puzzled - found no suitable answer for this old fellow - stared at him for a quite a while and finally without replying took shelter inside the full mask vega helmet & never even took off the visor though gossips continued (the bike hits a max speed of 500 kmph, police should not allow these bikes within the city, etc. The Pulsar guy even commented that his speedo is actually much better - digital) till the traffic liquidated.

not exactly crazy comments but some irritating ones from my end

i booked a R15 V2 and my colleague who kept on saying why not a second hand car starts asking...

guy : (after hearing its price), why does it cost that much?
me : its a performance machine
                      (after many annoying questions...)
guy : what mileage does it give
                      me : around 40
guy : oh only 40? then its not a performance bike
                      me : -silent-

as i read somewhere - don't argue with idiots, they will drag you to their level and beat you with their experience

This happened to me on my CBR when I had to visit, along with my girl friend, a common friend.

Stopped the bike at the gate of the building. Watchman comes up and asks where we wanna go and we let him know but he doesn't know. So GF calls up her friend to take her flat details etc. In the meanwhile, the radiator fans starts and upon hearing the noise the watchman, with a serious look on his face,

'Is main AC hai kya? (this bike has an AC) and he really had an astonished look on his face. He even put his palms near the big gap between the tank and the handle bar to feel the AC.

So I directed him towards the engine where the heat was felt. He immediately said, 'aapne heater kyon lagwaya hai bike main, mumbai main thode hi itni thandi padti hai ki heater ki jaroorat hai'.

My gf couldn't control it and burst out laughing. The watchman was visible bemused and possible embarassed that madam was laughing at him.

On second thoughts, why honda why, why did you put a heater in the bike!

That was epic....atleast ur gf found the hilarity in the question......mine would join the watchman in asking the same question

this incident happened when i had been to my native village for ayudha pooja in last year. i was coming back to the city from the village and stopped by a road side tea shop for tea and smoke. just when i pulled over, 3-4 villagers came to see the bike (i ride a r15) and started asking regular questions like how much does it cost, what's the top speed, mileage, and all... one guy later came and asked me the same old question-
villager - saar, ee bikege estu kotri? (sir, how much did you pay for this bike?).
                                i propmtly replied - 1,15,000/-.
guess what he commented next? - saar, nam hatra ade ondu laksha iddidre nam life settle agibidtittu... (sir, if i had the same one lakh with me, i would have got settled in my life...)
saying this, he walked away thinking of his stars leaving me puzzled..
