hi every one thanx for your posts. i dont know about the led voltage(guess it was china made) but believe me it was awesome,i put white light for headlamp and the blue led. There was no brightness issue. Now that i have seen the beauty of led i dont want to use filament bulb. But how to get the dc out of ac that is the big question infront of me.

A single LED operates best on 2.1 V DC. After 3V there is a chance of LED burning out. If you saw a direct fit LED, chances are that it might also have got voltage dropping ckt inside it, or it would be a cluster of LEDs.Originally posted by redindian83 View Posti dont know about the led voltage(guess it was china made) --...

Here's useful link for calculating LED supply voltages and Resistor values and U'll get a diagram too
And its got a complete FAQ too, a MUST READ for everyone

i postponed my idea of led pilot lamps, either i have to change the wiring (as the bike is new not feeling like takin that risk) or convert the ac to dc using my own circuit board(no expertise or time/dedication). Now happy with the blue led that i fit below my rear mudguard that flashes when i apply the brake :-). As that is already dc no issues.

@throttle_GRz - Nice work! How much do these computer graphics cost? Any ballpark figure?Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!
