        • Thanks to all for the appreciation. How hard it is to maintain, I will know after after a few days. Any tips? Wax polish do not work for sure! How about dashboard polish?

It cost 2000 bucks for paint (2K Dupont) and 800 bucks for the Pulsar monogram.

And alloys are out if my budget right now! Let me get a job first! I will keep the silver parts silver. IMO, provides contrast. All matte looks dull.

Use a silicon based liquid polish or a foam based one. . .

            • What i understand with matt paint is that the regions which are susceptible to scruffing ( tank area where your legs and crotch touch), side panels etc, they will get worn out and will start having a polished glossy look. remember seeing it happen eventually on my friends painted ZMA ( matt). But other people who have done it could give better advice.

Looks good! Get a new seat cover. It costs Rs.250 IIRC. The old shiny seat spoils the overall look.

                • Nice paint job Abhi, it looks cool even without the alloys. Good looks you have removed the fork boots.

Why did you changed the Chain cover? Changed to open type chain?

                  • Abhi why did u forgot the other sticker works on the tail side? DTSI logo and on the magneto case Pulsar logo on the tank is well blended. Nice mod man.

Open chain attracts more dust? Have u changed the chain to open type?

Ok.. thanks for the advice.. silicon based one made my bike whitish - the surface could not be buffed to get a good shine.. (not that I want it too shiny though) And your bikes look a bit greyish too.. dunno if its due to the polish or the cam... Anyways, any specific brand to ask for? (not too costly though! )

Though about all that, still decided to go for them! Love the understated classy look. (IMO!)

With a matte black seat it looked a bit too stealth. Polished the seat on purpose to provide some contrast. Either way does not look too good. Now the shine is a bit less. Will decide what to go after a few days!
How about a seat in any other colour/texture? Nothing too loud though!

Nope, old chain cover rusted at a place. So removed them. I oil my chain every 500kms now. Nothing too much, just a few drops of gear oil over it. So far its good.

Glad that you liked it! No stock here! 150 (not DTSi though!) and engine logo coming up soon!

                      Some more pics!

                      • nice paint job! matte is always good...for the problems that may cause you after painting it matte, like settling dust and glossy finish after prolonged friction at some places, I would advise you to use a Dupont clear coat, unlike the laquer coat!
Check this out, painted my in november 2009 and hasnt got a scratch till date!

take a look at the unicorn and fz's seat, you might like the texture...
and i see a silver strip in between the tank and the side panel, is that a sticker?
