That video is just, well what i can i say. I did Not have the nerve to watch the Video for more than 10 secs, But going to need maybe 10 days to try and forget it!, It surely needs a disclaimer!
Just re emphasises the use of real good quality riding gear! Now i am thinking of getting a good quality riding pant, with thigh protectors instead of just knee guards on jeans!

Damn, the first guys left leg is almost completely severed, even with riding gear, the leg would probably be lost, looks like the truch had dragged them by the legs for some distance, pretty grusome!
Best advice, although many will not take it, especially for two wheeler riders is, regardless of safety gear, KEEP A SAFE DISTANCE (A PUBLIC SERVICE AD IN THE UK, USED TO QUOTE "ONLY A FOOL, BREAKS THE TWO SECOND RULE" TRY IT IT MAKES PERFECT SENSE), OVERTAKE ONLY WHEN THE COAST IS CLEAR (ON THE OUTSIDE,RIGHT OF OTHER VEHICLES), DO NOT RIDE ON THE INSIDE (LEFT) OF OTHER VEHICLES, PLAN AHEAD, YOU NEED TO BE THINKING AHEAD OF WHERE YOU ARE, DON'T THINK YOU'RE A SUPER HERO, BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT. LASTLY CONCENTRATE AND HAVE PATIENCE. "BETTER TO BE LATE THAN DEAD" This is a quote from a very close friend of mine, he told me after I almost rolled a convertible, since then I drive or ride much more civillised.

I have used capital letters, because I am shouting, ride safe, drive safe, live long!

          Peace,

          Stefan
Beware of Bread, don't say I didn't warn you!
More than 98 percent of convicted criminals are bread eaters !
Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !

sad thing is even if we drive with the utmost concentration and care it does not ensure safety. somebody else could make a mistake.

Sorry about the video. I did give a disclaimer. Anyways, no idea about the wherabouts of the accident. No idea who was at fault or even if the guys involved are still alive or not. I hope they are though
What pissed me is that the guy is ****ing shooting it rather than getting them to a hospital or something.

YEah seriously he could have acted better! Atleast call an ambulance and the police bcoz lifting such severely injured people off the road is not a laymans job! BTW i was talking about the guy who shot the video giving a disclaimer at the start of the video itself!
You had anyway warned us about the graphic nature of the video!

i'm sure there were a whole bunch of people helping.

the guy documented the whole accident scene. (including the truck number)

the guy lying on his stomach seemed to have a serious head injury.

A helmet could've saved his life. But there's no excuse for stupidity.

Yes a good helmet would have surely saved his life infact prevented any head injury and he would have been walking away from the site, albeit a little shaken ofcourse since otherwise it doesnt seem a bad crash, a helmet would have made the difference

                        • f*** .............guys did you listen what the tv anchor is saying. he is totally blaming it on motorcycle rider. the bus driver is at equal fault. i mean i am not defending the bike rider, but why is everyone so biased against 2-wheelers, that they can't see the facts straight. it is clearly visible in the video, that there was no traffic policemen on duty there and neither were traffic lights working, everyone was going as per there own wish. and bus driver, did he used indicators or hand signal before turning. motorcyclist was simply going striaght.

Please tell me what the news reader was saying (I don't speak Hindi), my impression is that the bus is at fault, but riding anywhere in India, you always have to expect other vehicles to pull out in front of you, infact it happens all over the world, I personally ride with my headlight on, at all times, seems to piss off a lot of locals, not sure why though, they are always telling me my lights are on, now I just ignore them, being visable is as important as wearing riding gear.

Brother whosoever may be in fault here but the ultimate damage is borne by the motorcycle rider only.
In roads here always expect the most unexpected from biggies.
We are the small ones and need to take care of ourself.
After a crash/accident there is no point blaming others, coz the damage is already done.
Whenever a thing like(nearly missing a crash/accident) this happens to me i consider it my mistake and try to improves on that by being more alert on the roads.

at 0:40, 1:00 & 1:20 play times in video, the anchor is saying that bike rider was in a hurry and was not wearing helmet, so he could not be saved. sadly enough anchor can't see that bus driver too was in a hurry. its just that he had a bigger vehicle, so nothing happened to him.

you are true dude, its always the biker who suffers most and we should be more alert all the times.

but that does not mean that entire blame is put on bikers, without looking at facts. why there is a misconception that most of teh accidents happen because of two wheelers. whereas actually bus drivers, truck drivers, taxi drivers and auto-rickshaws are equally reckless in driving.
