    I wanna share my experience.

I was riding a friends 600 f4i, on the NH4, in pune. The ambegaon patch was under construction then. Rode down towards the tunnel and turned back. Then the pillion insisted to ride. So I gave him the bike n sat behind. He took off till 224 kmph, but couldnt handle the braking. When he braked, the bike fishtailed (No down shifts n patiently braking- wat an ass) and then moments later, we hit a side wall on a exit road's curve (As the road was under construction, that was the only way out, but he did not judge the speed and braked too late). We hit the wall at approx 50 kmph. bike Did a 180 degree flip over the wall. Me being a pillion, I was Superman for about a second or two. I was thrown on rocks and stones (You know how indian Road side conditions are). Fortunately, I had returned from my stunt meet, and was wearing a Full stunt riding gear (Cheast, Back, Shoulder, Elbow, Knee, shin protector, gloves, shoes, and a lid.) after landing on the stones and rocks, people came rushing. After 3 to 5 seconds or so, I stabilized from the situation and got up. People were kinda confused, as they had seen me be "crash superman". I walked to the pillion
He however hurt himself. He was wearing a low quality Wrangler helmet, simple clothes, and chappals. He wans't thrown far from the bike at all. He fell very close to it. No scraping. Yet he was more injured. The bike was fckd. Front forks damaged, Front discs damaged, chassis damaged, rim damaged (Fortunately still retained air) farings broken. Some how the bike started and I rode it back from there. It was running totally wierd. It was Pure God's grace That I was un-harmed, As God gave me the 'prerna' to wear the riding gear.
    Peace. Cheers.

I have faced this problem. If you brake hard, People give horrible looks and blame you for any crash. Idiots dont know the rule of keeping safe distance. I doubt even 1 percent drivers and riders know rules.

I think about this almost everyday..I ve spent so much in gears but what if i crash on the way to college?i hardly wear any gear to collg,i even only wear my STUDDS half face helmet(though im slowly changing that). Its really impractical for many reasons esp. in collg....but after reading this, ill always wear my Gloves and CROSS!

oh but i ride ultra slow when im not geared!

I used to face the same problem, everyday i used to ride to college without gear (college didn't have any lockers and backpack was always full with laptop or book or both), then one day i was about to fall below a bmtc bus as Mr. BMTC decided to take a sharp right without any indicators luckily braked in time and managed to control the bike enough only as to skid and fall.

Since that day i wondered what if i couldn't control or something like that I started wearing full gear that day on, riding jacket, gloves, knee and elbow guards full time. I even managed to solve my storage problem. what i do is i carry another cloth bag in my back pack which can be closed by tightening the string around it. once i get off the bike i put my gear inside it and carry it to class. As to carrying it in malls or theaters what i do is i give this bag at the baggage counter at any one of the many stores there

here is a picture of the bag that i mentioned here:

Normally its observed that when we fall or crash to something the first thing to hit is our helmet followed by chest, so how may are using a chest protectors as i am looking for something which is compact but good enough in quality and easy to carry.

The observation is incorrect, but jackets do have some amount of padding for the chest, or a provision for implanting a protector there...

The vital points are Head, Elbow, Shoulder, Palms, knees, Ankle, Back

PS: Unless ofcourse you intend to do your trademark somersault, then yes... chest first!

No satyen if you see lot of XBHP pune members including mine jacket doesnt have padding man at all so was hunting any other alternative in case of crash as bionic guards you cant fit in DSG Pheonix series

Is it? I thought it was palms, elbow, shoulder, head, knee. ankle etc. Chest, back etc comes only following these.
