will i need to change the crank or timing chain, etc? and what about the clutch plates and chain set

for p200 kit no change in timing chain, crank, clutch, even the stock valves will do,
one lil change, old chain tensioner wont work, p200 has bigger timing chain tensioner better if you get that(still old tensioner can be used with some mods)
and one spare oil passage will need to be closed.thats all, ready to rock.........

what difference would the p200 timing chain tensioner make?

this part wont make any performence difference, classics have smaller dia(where they fit in) while p200,p200 have bigger.
older chain tensioner can be used with some mods to fit tightly.
will try to post a pic....

            hi guys

            I have a 180 v1.

The stock back tyre is a 18 inch one. And added after market alloys for the same.

Now considering I want to change it to a 17 inch ones as of the later versions.

            1) Do i have to change the alloys ?

2)Will this harm the engine in any way ?

            Cheers
            Avin..

downsizing the tyre "Wont" harm the engine, but it will make the bike rev higher reducing the fuel effency and top speed..the v1's gear ratos were made according to the 18inch wheels..so there could be a problem of frequent gear changes...
my 2 cents : let the v1 remain with its 18inch wheels

You have to change the alloys man...you said you got 18inch aftermarket alloys...now if you want a 17incher change the alloys to 17inch....but as Richard said I'd let the V1 run on 18inchers rather than the 17's!!

                    Hi again,

                    Ok thank you guys.

The problem being that my tyres always touch the mudgaurd when I have a pillion and go over a bump.

The shocks are set to maximum hardness but it still does not help.

                    any solutions ?

                    cheers

Theres mightbe a possibility that the shock absorber mite have become weak.Btw which shock absorber are u using? The normal ones or nitrox?

well .. i had the stock ones... shifted to the nitro actually they were borrowed from a mechanic just to see if it solves the problem. but it did not.

so i'm still running with the stock springs..

                        cheers
