definitely not a ripoff. any bike can have a triangular shaped headlight. even yamaha bikes have it.Originally posted by unsafe_pilot1 View Post

This is a definite design copy.
A total ripoff.
lets give credit to bajaj for coming up with such a design. this can be an international hit. wait till it gets launched in SE Asia and south america

that was the same impression i had when i saw the new pulsar pics. but except for the headlight and rough proportions of the tank, the pulsar will still stand out.Originally posted by sudeepnbr View PostI'm sure you guys have seen this pic by this time.

3 Spark plugs and 4 valves.
what next?4 sparks??
Duke to Pulsar NS is what Galaxy SII is to Iphone 4S. one is mass market other is exclusive!
CBR comparison: its definitely no ripoff.it has its own exclusive design elements.
The build quality from these pics atleast looks top notch.Honda level.Definitely a step in right direction for bajaj.
The front looks hot.Yellow color is smoking.Though i dint like the tail much.doesn't go well with aggressive front part.
Kudos to Mr Rajiv Bajaj. He is the Steve Jobs of Indian Motorcycle Industry!
BTW does all liquid cooled bikes come with External Oil filter??
My 2 paise....2004 Pulsar 150 DTSi

Yup. Lets hope it is as good as the writer puts out to be. Anyways, as with any new release, will wait for atleast 6-8 months after the bike hits the road. Until then my Joeled 220 is in service.Originally posted by bprags View PostHold on to your excitement, that writer is very famous for dishing out praises. You should check out some of his older reviews. Wait let the bike come, test it and decide.
My 220 Dtsi, was the 2nd bike from Pune when it was launched, and I must say it has been comparatively less niggle free as against earlier Bajaj models.
Hope it is even better this time.

The most-awaited Pulsar 200 NS launched today-my take as follows
The Good:
- Rear mono shock
- new(for india) design alloys
- Engine block & Transmission is (shared) from KTM
- upsized tyres and bigger 'Bybre' brakes
- Liquid cooled
- substantial power improvement form previous gen
- company 'claimed' mileage of 50-58 Kmpl
- KTM-inspired perimeter frame
- affordable Pricing on lower side of 1 lakh mark
The Bad:
- Design: radical?-yes!, edgy?-yes! but is is a trendsetter? No! (FZ introduced the naked-muscular-proportionate looks that is the std even now in India) The headlight, IMHO looks like a love child of FZ's and Discover's curved one. Also, the front view shows the disproportional headlight/tank.
- Bulky at 145Kgs for a Naked
- Reliablity 'doubts' associated with a 'new' platform
- The console of current gen looks much better than the new-gen console
- the 'Pulsar-as-a-Tourer' diminishes in every new gen: look at the Lesser capacity Tank, lower placed 'belly-exhaust', no wind-shield etc.,
Doubts: will the 2050 Pulsar feature DTS-i (Digital Ten Spark-Ignition)?
.
On a serious note, will the performance/efficiency increase with every additional spark plug? Then why are mfg's round the world are not stuffing as many spark plugs they can??
I am disappointed that only one model and not the entire 2012 Pulsar lineup got unveiled today.
All said, I am very sure that the Pulsar was/is/and will be a VFM product that will seduce you with it's affordable power biking for masses!Grip. Twist. Ride-with Menacingly FAST Apache 180 ABS!
TVS Apache 180 ABS (Sep 2011-)
Yamaha Libero LX (Feb 2006-Sep 2011) sold

I am definitely confident that this one is gonna be a lot lot better, as the bike is basically a KTM engine wearing pulsar clothes, check the engine specs, everything is ditto duke, Bajaj has even chosen the underbelly exhaust of the Duke200. The only diff things are the extra spark plugs and SOHC. This bike is gonna set the charts on fire for sureOriginally posted by chinmayakar View PostYup. I am interested in knowing how many people who has initially opted for the Duke 200 will go in for this one.

and reliablity issues would have cropped up in the duke 125 batches, since the same ppl produce it
additional sparkplug can reduce emissions and increase efficiency

I dont agree with you about built quality. Honda is not anywhere near where they where 5 years ago.Originally posted by RascalAngel View Post3 Spark plugs and 4 valves.
