• i have a 150ug3 with ffe exhaust.
i wanna get joel's bigbore. but he said, i need to change the head also.
and did you get the cam chain tensioner.
what all parts are extra other that cylinder kit?
and is that filing of crank case absolutely necessary?

• Guys, will update on the situation around May-June... Bike is running fine, but I've more mods planned out. Will take the bike to Bengaluru so that Joel can, for once, work on it himself without bothering about our local mechanics knowledge levels.
Adarsh_ bk: Carburetor is the same. I just mildly upjetted it from 117.5 to 118, and then tuned it via AFR screw. Yes, lean mixture could be an issue. I didn't remove the db killer so far. Its already too noisy.

plasmabhai, thanks for the suggestions. These were really helpful. Thanks again.

raghav, I've replied to you via PM I think? Yes for P150, head has to be changed too. Joel is right. Cam chain tensioner comes for around Rs. 150. No other parts were needed for the Bigbore. Crankcase filling is not necessary. I had to do it because Bajaj gave me a crankcase with unequal left and right boring. Hence, the newer block was not fitting in.

It's not about shv18 thread on FZ, but, just wanted to know if it was fairing well & how good it's running. Would be glad to see if the works on Pulsars are holding good.

From what owners have reported (+ve/-ve), Pulsars are the only ones which had least complaints. Or maybe owners chose to keep quiet.
Yamaha products have been the most adversely affected IMO.

If I am not mistaken the Pulsar 220 upgrade is 10cc more to 230cc....a few P220 upgrades have failed and shattered Piston pictures were posted in the Powerhouse FZ18 thread...

Yes sir, I have seen that post. Hence I said less number of failures. Moreover, as you mentioned that its only a 10cc increase for P220, maybe failures were not seen immediately. But Samarth had a P180 and now its 208cc. That's in line with Yamaha mills. Need his reviews here too.

Except the owner everyone else is discussing here; after the upgrade the owner is interested in different brand, but, we're still interested with 208. Not sure what's going on

Guys, I'm really not in a position to talk about my bike's performance. Yes, I have booked the 390 and I take the Pulsar 180 to workplace everyday... Now, What can I say? Not all goes as planned.

I request you all to wait for some time till I sort stuff out and post something.. I can understand your impatience, because I'm impatient too..

@Joel Maybe you can explain it better, Joel..

And let me clarify- The Pulsar is like a teacher to me. I learnt stuff on it. Spent 6 years of my life on it. So, whether Duke comes or Ninja comes, I'm NOT selling the Pulsar in any case..

^^ After this, undoubtedly my patience increased. Mr. X is highly unlikely to show up so 'will await your response & explanations - hope the worst fears have not come true!!!

Nevermind whatever your problem is with your P180, my adivce is to revert back your P180 to stock condition in order to preserve it well and present it to your grand children. Regarding the 390, its way too much for Indian roads. Be responbile and ride safe. I was really disappointed with its abrupt power delivery.. coz both the 200 and 390 looked identical to me at first... Moreover the 390 cannot be considered as an everyday bike for young salaried pro's who do 60+ Kms a day, so its better to have an efficient partner for your 390.
