Honda Dazzler cruising speed - 80kmph butter smooth with an FE of 48-50 kmpl , there would be slight buzzing between 80 - 90 kmph then there is a second sweet spot at 7000 rpms or 94 kmph - expect a mileage drop to 43-45 kmpl at these speeds.

      Max Efficiency ~ 60 kmpl @ 5th gear - 35 kmph speed

the ideal cruising speed for bullet electra 350cc(uce) is within the 65-75kmph range it gives decent FE 40+
u can do 110 in it but i dont recommend anything beyond 75 in it because it becomes harsh and unbearable as the vibrations are too much and ur body will take the toll

the engine is a different story u can cruise around 80-90 all day without any severe damage

KB100RTZ (1991)- 65-75 kmph. Feels peaceful and just a humming exhaust/engine note. Also gives 45 kmpl if kept below 75 kmph. Cross 80kmph and the music starts. I had held 85 - 90kmph once for about half an hour or so when doing a trip alongside a Duke 200. My friend was amazed to see a 20+ year bike do that. But the vibes get bad beyond 80 kmph and also the engine is prone to seizure. Adding slightly more 2T oil will help the engine run cool at high speeds (Thanks PSR sir for the tip!).

Karizma R (2012): 100-115 kmph. Slight vibes post 105 kmph. Cross 100 kmph and mileage will drop to 32-33 kmpl. Keep it at 80-90kmph and it will give you around 38 - 40kmph.

FZ(2012): Will do 80-90 kmph all day long.

Pulsar 220(2009): Felt comfortable between 90-100 kmph. Can do more than that probably but the vibes get you and the engine note is not very assuring. Well this was 2009 model I was riding. The later ones are better I hear.

Pulsar 150(2013): Have toured to some extent on this one. Feels rough and vibrates a lot beyond 80 kmph. I felt comfortable upto 75 kmph. Gives 50+ kmpl easily under 75 kmph.

HH Glamour(2007): Have toured on this too. Will do 75- 80 kmph without any worries. If drum brake model keep it below 70kmph. Braking is poor.

Thunderbird 350(newer ones): 80kmph. Post that vibes get to you.

Re: Cruising speed for every motorcycle and scooter

Recently completed a long trip on the gixxer.
I did extended periods at 90 and 85.
I would say ideal is 85...although 90 is equally valid as I rode for long periods, just felt the engine became a bit more stressed and wasn't comfortable with that.
              85 seems ideal.

Bike is very smooth around 95-96 kmph,
and has a lots of reserve power for overtaking.

Re: Cruising speed for every motorcycle and scooter

The comfortable cruising speed for my SS125 is 75-80 kmph. It can continue with that speed for hours at stretch. I think that's a good figure for a 125cc.
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

80-90kmph on bullet 500 UCE.The engine feels extremely smooth even when riding with a pillion.
                      45-55kmph on discover 100 dtssi.

Re: Cruising speed for every motorcycle and scooter

Bajaj caliber 110- best cruising speed is between 55-65 kmph where it can deliver around 60-65 kmpl. Beyond that vibes can be felt.
Suzuki access125- engine feels best to cruise around 65-75. Though it can cruise at 80, it's not recommended due to small tyres and brakes. Mileage at such speed were around 35-40.
Bajaj pulsar 180- best to cruise at 85-90kmph which is at max torque. Mileage at such speeds is around 40-45.

                            Pulsr 220 best at 100kmph-110kmph (30-35kmpl)
Cbr250R best at 120-125 maybe a wee bit more (27-31kmpl)

I felt the cbr250r more comfortable at 120kmph.

                            Cheers,

True!! But, on Highways I maintain between 80 - 90 kmph and had recently done 90kmph + constantly for about an hour with a pillion.. (comfortably but, took a toll on the FE.. anyway mine never gives more than 33km/L for some reason )

I cruise on my Yamaha SZ-R (2011) 85-95 kmph (sometime cross 100). Is there could be any harm to engine on long run ?
