For destination, I would still vote for Nagpur as its central to everyone.
I guess we differ on the style and magnitude this event.
If we are thinking something like a sturgis/IBW kind of setup (hundreds of people+events) we will need to plan for hopefully hundreds of bikers from different states. This in itself is a logistical nightmare and would require co-ordination with local authorities apart from dedicated parking space/living space. This can only be driven by sponsorship and some level of full time effort by some folks. The reason an exotic location (with August being an off-season) makes sense is that there will be lots of hotels easily available plus it gives an added attraction for people coming from distant places to ride around. I am still skeptical about Nagpur
3 days of holidays coupled with 4 days of leaves (in some places it might be lesser due to various regional festivals around the same time) will give 9 days in all. SBKs add another dimension to this. They put up the event on a pedestal and everyone does take notice.

If a hundred bikers can co-ordinate effectively amongst themselves in the interstate G2Gs, then a 'brotherhood' ride kind of thing can work too for sure. But, it would be entirely different from a sturgis/IBW kind of setup.
What would I prefer -- a brotherhood kind of ride - but a better destination! Oh yes, I need to be filled in with the Cheetah episode!

Edit: princesirohi I think I have partially covered your points too. Its all about the kind of structure we have. My personal vision would be - camping somewhere near pune on a rainy weekend. I am very partial towards pune!

The motive is to ride and meet the fellow brothers, 3 months notice wil give enough time to gather leaves and plan for it.

Coming back to location somebody has suggested central india could be possible destination for this pan india ISG2G - Yes. Nagpur can be better option as @MG said.. I'm definitely in for the event
Let's work on it guys.

Re: How about a pan India xbhpian's meet?

I personally don't think Goa is a good option as far as northern riders are concerned. So we can have a G2G in Saputara ghats on Gujarat-Maharastra border? Or else Pune is also good. Lavasa on the outskirts of Pune is like a 'Pune Rider's destination.' Having a G2G in Mumbai can be costly.

We can probably have one in Daman considering that it has beaches and is in a way in Central India.
Any other destinations.
Also I would have loved to have a G2G in Spiti...

Ah! You're right, we both are envisioning this event very very differently

For me its a bunch of probably 100-200 (highly over optimistic estimate!!!) xBhpians riding down from all parts of India, sitting across a bonfire sharing stories from the road

I personally like to stay away as much as possible from glamshlam events like IBW, which IMHO caters to an entirely different crowd of 'lifestyle bikers' if you know what I mean....

Re: How about a pan India xbhpian's meet?

a nice idea indeed..we can have a start atleast and I agree to this fact that there is no need to have an enormous number present in this "maha" G2G, even a few riders travelling from different corners of the country is enough to ignite the fire and the spirit.

Although there are more experienced riders than me here who have been involved in planning out G2Gs for sometime now but I would suggest let us plan something post monsoon, that would give some time to plan the stuff and finalize destination.

Re: How about a pan India xbhpian's meet?

The main idea behind having a G2G is uniting riders from all over India. Not only on social networking portals. But in real life too. I can help in improving the attitude of common man(non-riders) towards us.

This sounds delicious ...

I am ok for Nagpur (MH) or anywhere in MP since its central as an option.

If we can make this possible we will simply take Xbhp to another level.
My only worry is the South ISG2G getting impacted by this.
